Great Company with Great Employees. Sue, Sanet at 3M, Sister Lizmar Carsten and Sister Danford at Panorama Mediclinic. I could not have asked for better. Always Friendly and absolutely trying their best to assist where they can. What an absolute pleasure. Thank you to all of you.

Hi. I wish to express my utter disappointment at poor quality of the 3M web page in South Africa. My search under the insulation tab, to investigate Thinsulate yielded nothing to work with that would enable me to make an informed purchase decision. Thermal and Acoustic tabs open a page with mostly void image fields and the limited content is vaguely related to the original search. Clicking on 3M Suppliers and Partners, directs one to Become a Supplier and Supplier Resources. But not a single supplier named! I hoped that a dealer would be able to answer my questions but the closest I came to a local supplier was in the UAE. How is it that it is easier to access, research and purchase your product from international suppliers, at a delivery premium, many multiples of the cost of the purchased item, when 3M advertises a formal presence in our country? The 3M SA web page is nothing short of a disgrace for a company that has operated in our country over four decades as I recall. Yet there is a wide and abundant 3M Product offering in our retail stores. It seems that the office of 3M South Africa is an open doorstop for product to trickle in, as a token presence to advance the company’s international image. Either your local directors and employees are not doing their jobs, or 3M corporate HQ is not invested! I suspect South Africa is managed from HQ in the US with bigger markets to focus on, hence the obvious neglect. I doubt this will receive the courtesy of a reply. A no reply will simply endorse the veracity of my experience and conclusions.

At the beginning of July 2021 I contacted the customer service department to lodge a complaint about the 3M heavy duty pot scourers. The responsible person was not available but I was assured that she would contact me. I sent an via email to indicate that I did not receive a call from that person. The person eventually called and arranged for FedEx to collect 4 (four) sealed packets of this product from my house. I did not hear from 3M. I continually called but was not able to get a proper outcome from them. Today I managed to speak to Fundiswa after having been promised that she would return my call last week. Fundiswa told me that they do not replace the product which I complained about and she said only received one packet from their office and not the four packets which were collected from me. I also requested Thembekile to return the items that were collected from me but she has probably not done anything about that. The one star rating for customer service is to be taken as a compliment as this is non existent at this organization. I would like to state that consumers should not purchase this product as it is not the quality it was previously and is not worth the price. They totally lack customer service.

A debit order for R201 for CLUB 3M was taken from my current account over the weekend. Thankfully I receive SMS when any transaction takes place. I contacted the bank and they reversed the order immediately. This is not the first time this has happened.

What an atrocious company!!! I tried calling to speak to someone about a large bulk order that I place and paid for R390,000-00! Nobody answers the phone! I was left on the phone for 25min with no assistance, then I was transferred to a bunch of useless untrained 'deflectors' who could not help me or answer any of my questions because of absolutely pathetic training (inept like you cannot believe). Their only goal was to get me off the phone, not help me and completely waste my time. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO TRAINED STAFF AT 3M AND NOBODY WITH ANY COMPETENCE WILLING TO HELP YOU. Don't waste your time trying to do business with this horrific company. 3M is a great global brand but 3M South Africa is completely dragging their name through the mud. South Africa you are an embarressment.
