By their own admission, their mechanic installed the wrong new clutch assembly. When they started the car, to quote the A&K Motors owner, Adam Ford, 'It blew up.' They supposedly installed a second assembly. On starting the car in the morning the transmission then sounded like a tractor. Friends were horrified by the noise. It went back twice more, before they used silicone - yes, you heard correctly - to stop the noise. I have video and audio recordings of their incompetence. The noise is now gone but I have a shuddering, theoretically brand new clutch. If I had the energy I'd sue A&K Motors in the small claims court. They have proved to be the worst vehicle repair disservice in my entire life. And this was the man giving motoring advice on Radio 702. Physician, heal thyself. 🙄🙄🙄

I regret using these mechanics to fix my car, a minor problem turned our to be ridiculously costly they use whatever to make money out of people, I've been charged exorbitant amount of monies twice my car came back with loads of issues I've replaced my gearbox, cambelt now I must fix valves all these things happened within 3 weeks and they arrogant with no conscious, I've been invoiced for parts that were not replaced, their ware chains of arrogance and pride. This is the beginning I will use every platform at my disposal to expose their conniving ways.

I have was a fan of A & K motors in 2014 my car ( 1996 Toyota Corral) was serviced for a big service being: Timing belt, fan felt and the price was R4,700. Which I thought was ok.

There was another service again in 2015 for R6,400 which I though was very costly and the back breaks were changed (shoes and drums and an engine mound ) but then car had a break sunder after the service so i took it back and the front brakes where changed ( another R3,700) but the car still had a problem. As it turns out the back brakes that they fitting had a problem so they changed it for free which though was ok. But why was I charged for front breaks when they didn't cause the problem?

Then a serviced the car again January 2017 for another R4,700 of which labour was R2,200- remember that this a 1996 car.. but then the cars radiator starting leaking water as a air conditioning pipe and broken it.

The owner of the busines said that it was not their fault as they didn't work on the aircon but they re-gassed it in 2015 and they put an engine mound so surely they should have seen that pipe could have caused a problem? As they are professional right? but they refused and chared me another R2,200 to replace it.

So personally I would never take my car there again and would recommend that you don't too as it is over priced and the owner does not responsibly for their own work as they just want to charge more.
