****hole shops being bought to our commuity
Where do i start from false advertsing downgrading our commuity with shops like roots,shopprite etc knowing very well how the commuity feels about that ****hole shops. Will be driving past that shopping centre i refuse to support a business that doesnt listen to its commuity wishing the downfall of the shopping centre.🤬🤬🤬🤬

Abland Construction and Cosmopolitan false property advertising!!!
When we app**** for property at Lion Pride Estate, one of the main attractions was the promised shopping center and the types of shops that were supposed to be available. However, it now feels like false advertising, as we’re being told that the shops will include stores like Roots and Shoprite, which was not what initially attracted me.

Abland Construction and Cosmopolitan false property advertising!!!
When we app**** for property at Lion Pride Estate, one of the main attractions was the promised shopping center and the types of shops that were supposed to be available. However, it now feels like false advertising, as we’re being told that the shops will include stores like Roots and Shoprite, which was not what initially attracted me.

Abland and Cosmopolitan are very good in these false adverti*****ts that they do. I mean we bought our houses because we were promised a lifestyle, where everything that we need will be in within our proximity ie. shopping complex & school. Guess what they are not busy with the complex but they bringing tenants that we as residents to align with. I mean you cannot bring shoprite store when we have 3 more of them with the 3km radius, even with root butchery there is one down the road. Clearly we are not the target market for this shopping complex. Now am imagining the kind of school that they will bring for our kids. Abland you can do better, after all the surveys we did.

I regret buying Property in Lionpride and Looking forward to sell my house before this downgrade. #False dreams @Abland @Central Development
I invested in Lionpride lifestyle estate property due to what they promised on their marketing advert, but guess what now we are being downgraded to Ekasi set up. Current construction happening will be having shops like Shoprite, Roots, Roots braai and taxi rank. How I would you be able to sell a house which cost R2M and up with such shops. There are three Shoprites within 3.5Km radius I mean why build more Shoprite ist based on community residing within or what ? People of Lionpride has shown and prove beyond doubt that Shoprite its a big No! and data was collected to proof that residents purchase goods from Checkers and Wools ! We were promised Checkers or Woolworths and some of their false marketing advert has checkers

False dream by Abland
Abland together with Cosmopolitan and Central development have sold the community of Lion Pride a false dream. They falsely advertised the area of Lion Pride Lifestyle Estate that the retail stores such as Checkers and other reputable businesses will the their tenants. Now that people have bought property in the area in numbers, Abland as a company has made a U-turn. They are bringing retail stores such as Shoprite, Roots Butchery, OBC. Shops that we as residents don’t want. Such retailers will increase crime in our area, traffic, unwanted taxi rank. We have previously conducted a survey and most of the community that lives in Lion Pride don’t want shops Abland has decided to bring. Abland please take a black child seriously for once. We already have three more Shoprite stores within 5 km radius. We urge you to reconsider your decision and bring Checkers store. If you persist in bringing shops we don’t want, we are not going to use Lion Pride retail stores. We will use Chartsworth that is 6km away from Lion Pride. Clearly we are not your target market.

Abland: Ignoring Community Voices and Compromising Our Neighborhood
I am deeply disappointed in Abland Development. They’ve shown a complete disregard for the community’s wishes and the impact of their choices on the surrounding neighborhoods. Despite numerous petitions, surveys, and clear feedback from the residents, Abland is moving forward with a retail center that brings tenants like Shoprite, Roots, and OBC to our area. These tenants, we specifically requested to avoid, due to concerns over the impact on the community’s safety, home value, and quality of life. From the beginning, we were led to believe that Abland valued community input. They hosted surveys and gave us the impression that our voices mattered. Yet, as the project has progressed, it’s clear they were only checking boxes without real intent to respect community needs or concerns. Instead of listening to the very people who will be affected daily by this center, they prioritized tenants that we believe will bring unwanted consequences to the neighborhood. We have valid concerns that the presence of these stores will compromise the safety, peace, and desirability of our area. It is no secret that some of these establishments can be magnets for higher foot traffic and increased congestion, which can lead to security challenges. Many residents chose this neighborhood for its residential appeal and value – a value we now fear is at risk because of Abland’s disregard for our wishes. It’s incredibly disheartening to see a development company like Abland act in such an irresponsible manner, putting profit above the welfare of the communities they claim to serve. The very essence of a neighborhood lies in the safety and comfort of its residents, but Abland has dismissed this by prioritizing tenants that the community explicitly voiced against. If you’re a homeowner considering an area with Abland’s developments, please be cautious. Understand that your voice may be overlooked, and the vision they sell might be at odds with the reality they deliver.

Wrong tenants for shopping centre
Abland is currently developing a shopping at an upmarket residential development of Lion Pride Lifestyle estate located between fourways and Lanseria. This is not a problem ,Abland however has proposed leasing this mall to lower LSM shops such as Shoprite, Roots , OBC etc. this has left residents concerned on who is the targeted customer of this mall. The residents are also concerned about the value of their properties going to the future.

Noise pollution in residential area
Abland Developers and their contractors, Gothic Construction, think it is acceptable to continue construction right next to a residential complex in Fourways until 4AM!!! After complaining multiple times they stopped for two weeks and now they have reverted to stopping at acceptable times but then they start construction again at 3AM!! This is a blatant disregard for the individuals at Shingara Sands and their health and overall well-being. The noise pollution is completely unbearable!
