On Friday the 30th May we had our solar geyser replaced after 12 years by Absolute Plumbing Cape after they quoted and I paid . On Tuesday the 3rd of June we contacted Absolute Plumbing with the following complaints : Solar panel not heating water Geyser heating very slow Water cooling down fast Absolute plumbing came out the next day could not find the fault They came out again the next day still couldn't the fault. On Friday the 6th of June the owner of Absolute Plumbing came out and told me that there is nothing wrong with the installation and that it is working as it should and he has spoken to the supplier of the Solar panel and they say it is working as it should as well . That next week I called Sunscan the supplier of the Solar panel and they told me that my complaints are valid and system is not functioning as it should. They gave me contact info another plumber. New plumber came out on Thursday 12 June and identified the problem immediately with pictures and a explanation which I verified with Sunscan The cold water was connected in the wrong place bypassing the Solar panel. I contacted Chris owner of Absolute plumbing with this information and he said that is not the problem and he will not change the pipes. He said he also spoke with another expert and my Solar panel is working like it should and that they have never had a problem not connecting the cold water that way even at his own house. I then contacted my new plumber to change the pipes at my own expense. When I informed Chris owner of Absolute plumbing of this he threatened me with cancelling my warranty and suddenly wanted to change the pipes that next week . Rain was forecast for that next week so I knew it would not happen and I had lost all confidence in Absolute Plumbing. Alter new plumber changed the pipes my Solar panel and Geyser worked much better like knight and day . Solar panel now heats the water Geyser heats water much faster Water stays warm over night. In my opinion Chris the owner of Absolute Plumbing Cape does not understand the basic fundamentals of plumbing and is dishonest

Their call-out fee and conditions are not correctly stated and misleading. It's not R 150 plus an hour's labour. In fact it's R 1 150 no matter what. We were charged R 1 150 for someone to come and take two photos, with the promise of a quotation to follow - which process took all of 10 minutes. We were then hounded to make payment without having received the promised quotation. We note further that 5% discount is claimed to be offered for on-site payment - but this was never offered to us. The quotation, when it was finally provided was exorbitantly expensive - over R 6 000 - with no deduction for the call-out fee. As a result we chose to get someone else to fix the problem, at a fraction of the price. We do not recommend doing business with this firm.

Absolute Rip-off Artists more like. Turns out their call-out fee is R 1 150, whether or not they do anything when they arrive. For us, they came, looked around, then said they'd give us a quote - which I had to chase after, and which turned out to be outrageously expensive - meanwhile hounding me for payment of their outrageous call-out fee. Found someone else cheaper and better in the meantime.

I was looking at relining my pipes in a new flat, and I was offered a complimentary quote from Absolute Plumbing. A lovely guy came to assess my flat and gave me a very honest assessment and an accurate quote. I highly recommend them for their efficiency, honesty, knowledge of their industry and professionalism - rare to find all this in a plumbing company!

07h54 I get the following:- May we attend this afternoon? I will ask the logistics manager to give you a ring once the team is on route. Jordyn Clarke Accounts Manager. 08h27 I get SMS:- ...... James from Absolute Plumbing (Pty) Ltd is on the way and will be arriving in approximately 19 minutes. ......... 19 Minutes comes and goes and trying to get hold of the company becomes a mission greater than trying to get to the moon. I then get a call saying they use an "automated system' - which I suggest they ditch!!!!! Their work is good but their AI system is USELESS and messes people around!!!

I called them out to fit 4 tap heads (2x shower and 2x bath). The work was done on a Friday (3 guys attended???) and by the following Tuesday night I had not received the Invoice. Being a diligent customer I Whatsapp'd my email address to them. No response or thank you received. I did receive the Invoice the next day. Just plain rude. The Invoice however was for 2 hours labour (R750.00/hour) plus call out fee of R150.00? I live in access control complex and checked the times they entered and left, with the Security: Entered 08:45 Exit 09:31 Once I reported the problem to the only person that seems to work at their office, I was subjected to a bit of a run around game. Hurry up and wait for them to call back. It seems the lady that I spoke to was getting quite a kick out of me being angry and wanting to speak to MD. The Owner of the business I had met a few years ago when he was starting out with his newly created business and was doing calls himself. At that time he offered the perfect service. I think he has grown too big for the locals that have supported him over the years and has hired employees that do not have his vision or business statement in mind when dealing with longstanding customers. Your business ethic sucks and I will no longer use your services.
