ABSOLUTE-LY NOT REPUTABLE
<p>Our ceiling collapsed early August 2016. Mike Bourman from Absolute Projects in Hibberdene came out to do repairs to the roof and replace our ceiling.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is now the 3rd or 4th time since it’s been repaired and my roof still leaks after its rained. The water pours down the inside of the room into buckets which our neighbours have to empty out. </p> <p>As a result of this, there is mould on my walls, ceiling, windows and curtains.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have honestly been very understanding as well as patient and have heard it all. On the odd day that I do get hold of Mike, which is very seldom, I hear all sorts of stories - he dismissed the guy who did the repairs, he then dismissed all his staff and a new team came up from Gauteng, Mike then fell off a ladder and injured his back and then his phone has been in for repairs.</p> <p>Mostly though his phone goes onto voice mail, he doesn’t read my whatsapp messages and ignores my emails.</p> <p> </p> <p>Finally Mike promised me for the last 3 weeks that he personally would be going out to fix this roof, but failed to do so, he then promised to contact me by no later than the afternoon of 14.02.17 to make arrangements and again this has not happened.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is not a reputable company, you make many, empty promises and I wouldn’t recommend any of your services to anyone!</p> <p> </p>

Paid 50% deposit, he cancels and flees with cash
Commenced a building project with said individual and his company. We kept increasing the scope of the project and kept paying 50% deposits along the way until his sub-contracted workers approached us directly for funds as they had only been paid a diminutive amount. This was an immediate red flag to us. Delivery & installation of the final contracted piece of work (our ceiling) also stalled for 2 weeks as excuse after excuse was made about non-delivery. In the final call I made to Johan (Sol) Pretorious, he went into a rage when I mentioned his non-delivery and failed commitments and swore terribly and incessantly. I indicated I was not going to put up with the abusive language at which point I hung up. He called back repeatedly and I started off by stating that if he continued his tirade I would simply hang up again until he had calmed himself down and treat us like a customer at which point Johan (Sol) shouted at me that he would return our money and that he was cancelling the contract, which I immediately accepted. Later that day he started to badger my girlfriend with threatening calls. Sadly not only did he run away with our deposit of R15k but we ended up paying his crew too

Stay away from this guy!
Sent an email as per Absolute Products' website asking for a quote. Was contacted by Sol Pretorius who said he will come to give a quote the next day at 13h00. Didn't arrive after putting in day's leave. Phoned him late afternoon asking him to please not lie to me and tell me straight if he can help us. Lots of excuses and lies later promised to come the next day and again didn't arrive. Please people, stay away from this liar! He is a untrustworthy person with no business ethic!

I was quoted for the closing up of my patio, a boma, paving and a small outside wall. I was told the work will be done in a week. 4 weeks later, the tiling of the patio floor was still incomplete, the ceiling was halfway done, the boma had to be rebuild as the first attempt was skew, the small outside wall was build, but the gate was still not supplied and the paving was incomplete. I paid the 50% deposit to start and later the 20% he requested in order to be able to collect the patio doors and window frames from the suppliers. After the 20% payment was made, he never returned to finish the work or deliver the patio doors and window frames. He either does not answer his phone or puts it down in your ear and ignores your e-mails. He used my wheelbarrow, shovels, broom etc and took an extension cord he borrowed. He is full of promises, but fails to deliver on any of them.
