Have been having problems with our WiFi since the 25 January 2025. Eventually got to speak to somebody on 11 February 2025 and was told that some settings on the router was incorrect and it was corrected. It only lasted 4 days and we are back to square one, it is buffering all the time and you can’t get a technician at the call centre to talk to and get assistance. Have been trying for 2 and a half hours this evening and eventually got a person by the name of Aoyla Mamela and had to do a speed test send it to him and to be told to watch the progress and report back to them. When I said that they need to sort it out he told me that I will have to pay for a technician to come and sort it out. Reference number that was emailed to me is #2647619.

We have been with Herotel for 6 years and never had issues until recently. Four days without Wi-Fi - four days are very long if you work from home and relay 100% on having Wi-Fi. They keep on giving us the run around and tell us that someone is coming out to see to the issue. When we phone they ignore our calls and on the occasion that they do answer, they can't tell us when someone is coming to assist. Managed to get through to the supervisor and she said that what she see on the system is that we are aware of when the technician will be coming out, but no one informed us. Very disgusted with this terrible customer service!!

Herotel worst ever In the town in which I live, Herotel is the only provider of fibre. On initial installation, I received a router. I was unable to get Wi-Fi in the rest of my house. When I called in, it was suggested I get a second router which i did. This router is more central. I specifically requested that it be installed wired. When the technician arrived, he connected the second router wireless to the primary and said it would would work perfectly. On receipt of the invoice I was billed for a cable that was not installed. the second router began to give issues. I called in and was told the matter would be investigated and they would back to me in 5 minutes. Two weeks has gone by and I haven't heard a thing. Their WIFI is troublesome and continues to buffer in simple things like YouTube. I am extremely disappointed at the service and lies I was told. Their internet connectivity is troublesome. Furthermore their cabling leaves little to be desired. Their internet poles are falling and cables beginning to touch the ground. I informed them of this and they still did nothing. For those who are considering fibre, go with another service provider if you have one. In smaller towns where there is none, stick to what you have

Herotell charges students a callout fee for assistance and expect them to pay within 24 hrs. If not they cut their service. When the service Centre was phoned they told the students that if nothing was broken, no charge would be made. They however still charged them a call out and cut the service even after an arrangement was made to pay it.

The most despicable and useless company I have ever had the displeasure of giving money to. Think very VERY carefully before signing up with them. Their low speeds are overpriced and that's if you manage to stay connected. And when you eventually leave for a better ISP? They send you letters of demand and threats about legal action even though you never signed a contract. Awful awful company. If i could give negative stars I would. I would sooner pay 100k for a billboard to say how awful these people are than to give in to their disgusting threats.

Hello Again Herotel Airband. It's weekend and I received an SMS again this morning ' we are aware there might be an an outage in your area' A little different from the regulars SMSs that reads ' an upstream provider has an outage' But this idiot customer pays you R6000 per annum for atleast the last 4 years , always on time and in full. How I miss the service Airband provided. Outages were few and fixed after hours. Since Herotel, it's left for the next day and over weekends probably for the Monday Please do not blame Eskom, you lot actually have a lot in common...

This is a laughable, new excuse to share " The Upstream Provider has an outage in your area, they have been notified" Sms from Herotel to me, whom I pay every month. Now here is the thing - Give me their contact details so I can * verify if it's true OR * join them direct and cut you lot out that is now the middle man ... Ridiculous
