I was searching for solar panels and came across this company online at www.energyalternate.co.za. I decided to go check the panels first at the premises listed as 18 Escallonia Street, Montana, Pretoria, only to find out that their is no such business at this address. No-one at the business complex knows them. I guess I am lucky not to have lost any money, but would like to warn you about this scam as I was told that many people do make payment, only to find that the company does not exist, at least not at the address indicated, and lose their money.

This is an online Solar company. Their website was www.alternatenergy.co.za. It is now www.energyalternate.co.za. I bought 6 x 540W Solar panels. Thabo was very helpful in giving me bank details etc. But when I followed up on the delivery after payment, there was always an excuse why it s delayed. I then spoke with Melusi who said it is coming. Eventually they stopped taking my calls and dont answer emails. I found out that their address which is supposed to be 18 Escallonia Street Montana 0182 Pretoria South Africa is actually not true. No-one who works at the business complex knows them. Alternative energy has a VAT no and is an officially registered company, but it is a scam. Maybe they are using someone else company as a front, but I have not received my panels yet
