Bought a wireless Bluetooth thermo printer, it was defective, logged a return, I received a new printer, but I had to pay R821 ($47) to send the defective printer back to the USA but Amazon policy states that they pay the postage, but I had to pay for it out of my own pocket, nearly half the price of the printer

Bought a Tablet from them in early September. It died on me 2 weeks after I received it. I had to send it back at my own cost of R3500 (+- $200). It was received by them on 26 September 2024. They then refunded me for an item which I did not even log for return, and still have in my possession but claim that my tablet I sent back ($1200) has not been received yet. Despite giving them the name of the person that signed for receiving the tablet at their return center, they keep on sending me generic messages to basically wait longer. This is absurd and the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company. No-one is willing to investigate what is going on or to see if they can assist, they just keep on sending generic bot-like responses.

Dealing with this company from South Africa is a nightmare. You cant speak to the call centre and the entire webpage is bot operated. I ordered a product from USA to ZA. Product was faulty. They replaced it very easily and quickly. I was asked to return the item on my own expense and they would refund me. I paid R1400 ($79) to ship it via DHL Express. When the item arrived they refunded me $20 for the shipping. I have tried to query this but trying to speak to someone or not get an automated response, takes miracles. I need someone to respond to me to get the rest of my shipping refund.

I subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, therefore a monthly charge. I occasionally buy kindle books. An amount of R233 was taken from my a/c on 4th June. I can't reconcile this with a purchase. Amazon are now impossible to contact. Customer service takes one in circles, no emails read. ****??

I ordered very expensive books. It was poorly packaged and the products were damaged after waiting a long time for delivery. Like the inside is torn loose from the hardcover and the cover is torn in places. Then when trying to lay a complaint, it is like hitting a brick wall. You either have to return the product by doing everything yourself, dropping it off at a shipping company and paying shipping costs for the return. This means, you still do not have the product, you pay more for it and you risk losing the product and all the additional costs in case somebody turns around and say that they do not have proof that it damaged during the return... Then you try the chat option within the app. What a horrible experience?! First is the bot, then finally an agent. This agent drops your chat halfway by indicating that they suddenly need to add somebody else to the chat to assist you and then disappears from the chat as soon as the other person is "added". The second agent cannot access the lengthy conversation you had with the first one and you have to repeat yourself. Your messages are not properly read. Your questions are not answered. They refuse to give you an email address to direct your complaint to. They respond multiple times with "template" answers about how sorry they are about your experience and still continue to ignore your actual questions and comments. Then all the time and frustration spent still ends with "sorry, we are unable to do anything until we receive the returned product". I AM NOT RETURNING IT. I WANT TO LAY A COMPLAINT. I want the packaging okes (people) and courier services to be investigated on how, why and where two heavy and very expensive books were damaged? Why was it poorly packed with minimal protection? A single sheet of brown paper in an oversized, flimsy box with 2 large, heavy books???? I want it NOT to happen to the next person. I want to be heard. The total experience was horrible. But, at least now I am cured from using Amazon again for my retail therapy.
