Actually, doesn't even get one star. Nedbank, the SA issuers of American Express card division in SA are completely out of touch with their customers. I have reported a *****ulent transaction which is over a month old and still not a word from ***** division. I called and spoke to : Angel Lungile V****ha Reddy Dante Mark Pillay Brian Kirana Rori Sehoole Gugu Mthetwa None of the above can tell me who is the GM of American Express card division, isnt that frightening that bosses at Amex dont want to be accessed by customers !!!! I even asked to speak to the Secty of Nedbank CEO, Jason Quinn, I called Nedbank's Head Office number : 011-294-4444 and they said they dont have Jason Quinn's number !!!!!! Get any money you have in Nedbank out . In my 38 years as a Gold cardholder, NEDBANK has lost touch you can only talk to a call centre and they are lazy and useless. American Express Intl cards should take away the license from Nedbank to operate the card in SA.

I have been trying to cancel my Amex Platinum card for weeks now and can't. You can't cancel it in the branch, it has to be done via mobile. 3 weeks ago, after speaking to a consultant, who assured me that once I'd payed outstanding balance of R105.50, it would be done. I immediately did an EFT. Just this morning I went onto the app and low and behold, I now owe R104.00 and the card is still active. I have spoken to another consultant this morning or assures me he will sort it out and give me a call back. This was 2 hours ago, so I am waiting with baited breath for that elusive call back. NEDBANK, your service would be pathetic, if you had some. 😡😡😡😡😡

Since January 2025, I have had a card on which the PIN function does not work. In spite of numerous calls, emails and even branch visits, Nedbank/ American Express still have not resolved the issue. In spite of emails on management level, they still fail to commit to their own slogan: American Express begins and ends with service. Shame on you American Express! In spite of their dismal service, I am still charged a maintenance fee every month. Shame on you Nedbank Management!

Since January 2025, I have had a card on which the PIN function does not work. In spite of numerous calls, emails and even branch visits, Nedbank/ American Express still have not resolved the issue. In spite of emails on management level, they still fail to commit to their own slogan: American Express begins and ends with service. Shame on you American Express! In spite of their dismal service, I am still charged a maintenance fee every month. Shame on you Nedbank Management!

For the month of March 2025, I have been trying to sort out a renewal card and then a replacement card with no luck. I have been a loyal client of American Express Platinum Card for 36 years. I have experienced lies, deceit, disrespect from uninformed staff and management. The service is disgusting and I have now had to reach for senior management to attempt to resolve my requests.
