I asked the gentleman working at the Sandton branch of AKJ to replace the mechanism in my Michelle Herbellin watch. When my niece went to collect, he insisted on cash (R1500), and that they meet at Nandos rather than at the business premise where we had initially made contact. He gave her the watch back, offered an oral warranty of 6 months, and yet no receipt. Today, a week later, the watch is already running behind schedule. I cannot find anybody to report the matter to, and nobody has responded to any of the emails I have sent thus far. Is it possible to get ****med within legitimate business premises? What does this mean? There are just no telephone numbers to call...

My Tissot watch was given in at Arthur Kaplan Jewellers Menlyn Mall in January 2024, until to date no feedback was given. I tried to phone them all their lines are off. I managed to get hold of them, by phoning the store’s next to them and ask them if they can go over with the phone so that I can speak to them. Twice, I managed to do so. Both times they say they will come back to me, but they was unsuccessful to do so, after telling me they can not tell me where my watch is. It happened that I moved, and is no longer located in Pretoria and thus the reason for me to try and phone them and not go there. Do not buy from them!!!

Apparently the company is in liquidation. Took my TAG Heuer watch to them to replace battery. Gone to collect this morning and only security guard at door in Sandton City store. Nobody there to return MY watch and have to now contact liquidator to retrieve my watch. This borders on theft as far as I'm concerned. Will have to report this to SAPS

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! The service is non-existing at any of Arthur Kaplan stors. Not even ine contact number is working and no response on any emails. I will not recommend this retailer for any thing. Really don't buy from them!

@arthurkaplanjewellers I handed in a pair of earrings on 6 January for repairs which were DEFECTIVE Despite all my mails, in store visits to your Eastgate branch , 4 months later I have had zero response from you and I am unable to reach anybody at your “head office”. Your lack of service is beyond shocking. Your jewellery is sub standard to say the least . How can your ”luxury” jewellery last less than two months. ? Worst of all is your complete lack of communication !!! Be warned when buying anything from Arthur Kaplan Jewellers you will have no recourse after your purchase.

Took my faulty Longiness in to the Menlyn store, still under warranty. Never heard from them again. Can't phone the store or head office as all nrs provided are faulty. Went to the store and was told to wait outside for security reasons. I just left. Disgusted

Took my UBoat watch into Arthur Kaplan Jewelers in Fourways to replace the battery. After trying to return a faulty time piece to me, they have ruined the watch and 5 months later they have made zero attempt to rectify the matter. The watch has been sent to Italy for repairs and they've avoided me from the start.

I am so disappointed in this business. I would honestly never buy from them again after the experience I had with them. I had purchased a ring from their online store at a discounted price (27 January). My order was confirmed and the money deducted from my account. On 6 February, someone emailed me and said the item I had purchased is out of stock, although they were still advertising it on their website (at the full price of course). Two days later I was notified that my refund had been processed. To this day I am still waiting for my refund. Ridiculously poor service. They take multiple days to reply to emails. None of their phone lines work when trying to male contact with them. Truly unacceptable. Would NOT recommend!
