We bought Asics Gel Kayano 31 from Sportsmans Wearhouse on the 26 Oct 2024 and paid R3999.99 for the shoes. My husband went running over Dec and heard a tore sound just to look down and see his 2 month old running shoe has torn on the toe. We took it back to Sportsmans Warehouse Keywest and the manager decides it was not the shoe but something that cut it(while running), after i explained what happened she “couldnt get hold of the Asic rep” and said they will let the rep look at it and let me know what the outcome is. They then gave me a call and said no sorry the rep said that they can not replace the shoe, when my husband fetched the shoes the rep never even showed up, he decided it over a photograph. We then proceeded to email Asic Sa which the reply was sorry we only deal with online purchases. We are huge fans of Asics but after this incident the customer service and outlet has made us doubt in our choice

I bought a pair of Asics Gel Nimbus 26 for my wife (who basically use it to walk our dog) on 11 May 2024 from Sportsmans Warehouse for R3799. On 23 June 2024 after our morning walk, she realized the materials on the left big toe came loose. Immediately I reported it to Sportsmans Warehouse, obviously very furious since it's a pricy item. Their response was that it's due to my wife's foot geometry and placement during a walk/run. I almost hurst out laughing, since I myself own a pair and run 100's of kilometers per annum, whilst she walked less than 50km in hers wity no force, neglect or anything. As a consolation they offered me a "big toe hole preventor guard", yessis I just needed to keep my pose. I won't be fussing if we were at fault, but surely this is unacceptable and I either need my money back or a new pair of shoes....which my wife explicitly says she'll never trust any Asics product

I bought a pair of ASICS in September last year. Doing a simple calculation as to how far I had walked in them (only use them for walking), I calculated that I had used them for approximately 85 kms. In November, the area where my big toe is simply wore through and there is now a hole there. In December, I send a mail to customer services with a photo of the shoe. As always, I received an automated response stating that this would be dealt with. To date I have heard nothing. As a large international brand, this is not good enough.

Stay away from AsicsSouthAfrica.com This is a Chinese ****. Avoid them at all costs, even if it looks like if links through from SA website. The price looks attractive, but don't get ****med. Paid for expensive running shoes, got cheap $5 **** Nike cap. Now refusing to communicate or refund.
