NEVER USE ASL LOGISTICS - Damaged my furniture and refuse to pay damager
Last Year September I used ASL to move my furniture from Dowerglen to Fourways, with 1 month storage. When the furniture was in storage I went to look and they had packed the whole house into half a container, jam packed. when I complained they just told me they know what they doing and it will all be fine. As I predicted when they delivered there were tears in my couch, damage to beds, missing planks for the double bed, missing braai pieces - and dented the top, my bedroom TV scream is completely damaged, then TV cabinet and tables scratched and damaged. Over all a lot of damage, when I complained I was told that the insurance only covered the transport and not the storage, so they cannot claim. Until January 3rd they kept promising me they will send me money to fix the damages, I even only asked for the TV / Bed and Braai to be fixed I would patch the couch myself. I have 2 WhatsApp messages from 2 people taking full responsibility and promising to pay me, now I am fed up and will post bad reviews. Disgusting service!!!
Disgraceful service (can't even call it service!). They give a quote and then on the day of delivery, they say there was extra or they needed additional resources and you need to pay extra, when there was not extra! Then they can't get their truck up an average driveway and they won't carry everything in, so they dump it inside your gate and leave to to carry everything up! They argued for over an hour about letting me see that my belongings were even INSIDE the truck. They wouldn't show me! Disgraceful service and they say they used a sub-contractor (which I don't believe - they are all in kahoots, thieving from people) and they (Rick at ASL) couldn't do or say anything or come up with a solution. They have done this to me twice- first time I paid the extra R2700 without asking questions. This time I emailed an updated list, I was told nothing extra to pay, then was told on morning of deliver, pay additional R2000. DO NOT USE THESE ******* TO TRANSPORT ANYTHING ANYWHERE! Also many broken items due to being man handled. Dressing table, Bedside table, 2 occasional chairs and a ladder bookcase all broken due to them being useless!!! Absolute disgrace! And THEN they made remarks about us being white! Not on and I hope no one ever uses this lot ever again! You will NOT be happy!
