I have a property on Jan Smuts Avenue and had been trying to sell for nearly 4 years. During this time I had the property on sale with a number of agents and the best offer I received, which incidentally I turned down at the time, was the same amount I realised on auction. Except the monies were free of any agents commission or transfer fees and any VAT payable is payable by the Purchaser. When added to the price I received, this offer was almost a bar more in money in my pocket. I approached the 2 major property auction houses in Johannesburg and met agents for both and I decided to go with Daniel Wachenheimer from Auction Inc. Turns out, Daniel is a dealmaker extraordinaire. The marketing campaign was nationwide with the buyer coming in from Cape Town. In the weeks before the auction the area around the lodge was saturated in advertising which worked. After the sale was completed Daniel organised everything including the conveyancer and bridging finance. It was an absolute pleasure to have Daniel selling our property. Well done and keep it up. I approached Auction Inc to Auction my property after seeing their advert claiming they can sell a property in 3 weeks. I was assisted by Jodi Dayan. I paid R11 500 for the advertising of the Auction. The day of the Auction came and was told there was not even a single offer. not even less than what we hoped for ..zero. I asked what's the way forward and was told there is an interested buyer who wants to view next week and that never materialized. Then I approached them to ask again about the way forward and was told they will advertise the property on Skyrise properties. Two months of silence since, until I terminated the mandate. so I basically gave away R 11 500 under the false promise that Auctioninc can sell a property in 3 weeks...it's been 3 months now. And that's how I lost R11 500

I bid at the property auction and I was the highest bidder, I was required to pay a deposit on that offer with the understanding that if the offer is rejected I will be refunded immediately. It's a week now and I have not been refunded, they take me from pillar to post. I have never come across an offer to purchase that has to be accompanied by a payment however i complied because I wanted that property now i regret ever attending their auctions and i regret paying them

They are absolutely pathetic. They promise quick response, "3 week sale" etc but don't even answer the phone or emails. I will never go near them again, and am just glad they didn't get to sell my property.

Substandard is an understatement. Cancelled when they were supposed to be onsite. As with most sub-standard estate agents - only in it for a quick buck Definitely not as advertised - don't waste your time! If we all based business on the last year most companies would not make it - this company only has their own interest and commission as their focal point
