I gave this company my vehicle to sell. I was requested to get the latest settlement letter. Once I had provided them the letter, I was told they would be settling the vehicle the next day (9 Dec 2020). Only to find out in 2022 that it was never settled. Owners of the cc Ian Scheckter and Marcel Angel, admit liability, yet have still not settled the car. The second member of the CC is still operating in Cape Town. They have committed theft and fraud. Yet still in business. I have been spun stories for months and now have the financial service taking legal action against me for something they have been paid for!

BRILLIANT! Themba from Autohaus is the guy to go to! Made buying a vehicle painless and so Easy, I'm happy with the service provided by this gentlemen. I doubt I'll go to a different dealer for the remainder of my life (I'm not dying FYI).

I have purchased 2017 Polo vivo at Autohaus Scheckter in Randburg. On the day of collection Themba who is the salesman there told me that the vehicle still have the service plan with VW Hadfield. On the 28th of December 2018 I was taking my vehicle for 60000km service and when I check with VW hatfield if the service plan for this vehicle is really active, and then they told me that there's no service plan that is linked to either my vehicle or my ID. So I then contacted Themba to explain to me about the service plan that he said my vehicle has and then he told me that he is still busy with the client he will get back to me. It was around 10:00am and then I waited for almost 5 hours, I then decided to call him on his cellphone and he didn't take or return to my calls, I decided to call him on the landline and then someone picked up and tell me that Themba left already I should call him the following day. Then I decided to call him on Monday of the 31st December and he was nowhere to be found. I tried to call him again on the 2nd January on the landline and then he told me that maybe there was a mistake from the guy who was loading my details on the system, and then he told me that the guy who was helping him is on leave and he will come back to work on the 7th of January 2019. I waited until the 7th and call him again then he asked for my vin number and I gave him and he told me to wait for the call, I waited and waited. I decided to call him again at 15:00 with no luck. I called him again on the 8th and then he told me that the guy from VW hatfield is still busy with it and he will call me as soon as he's done, it was around 11:00 when I call. I waited and call came through. On the 10th I called to do the follow up on the landline and then he told me that the person who is busy with it is not at work, his son is sick and will be back the following day, so I on Thursday I called him on the landline and couldn't find him and I tried calling him on the cellphone using the different number and he picked up and immediately when he hear that is was me he dropped the phone. He then sent the WhatsApp and tell me that the guy has loaded my details on the system i should now bool my car to any vw. I called vw hatfield again to confirm if my details are loaded on the system and they told me that it still shows them that there's nothing linked to the vehicle. I texted him back and tell him that still there's nothing linked to the vehicle. He told me that he will ask the guy who was loading my car on the system to call me. I even asked him to give me details of the guy so I can do the follow ups from him. He did not give them to me. Even today I am still waiting for something that I am not even sure that I really have. I can't get hold of Themba on his phone and he's not responding to my WhatsApp. I have been having problems with this dealer from the day I collected my car, for them to assist me in changing the registration, it took them almost 2 weeks and again my vehicle had a battery problem and for them to change it, I had to wait for weeks to get it done and they didn't give me the new one but took from one of the vehicle on the floor. When I asked why old battery and then the same Themba told me that they don't give the new battery

I bought a Nissan Navara from Autohaus Scheckter. On delivery I was promised petrol money, I am in Klerksdorp and had to drive from 183km, I did not get. The airbag light kept flikkering. they got it fixed after alot of driving from one place to te other. Now I am stuggeling to get my warranty inrformation from them. so every thing you want from them is a big problem for them. it seems that if they sold you the car it becomes your problem. So I dont feel like BOTHERING them about any problems about the car

Autohaus Schekter is really not what they want you to believe they are. I purchased a vehicle from Autohaus Scheckter mid-2017, this turned out to be the biggest mistake I made. Pre-sale service was great, the salesman was helpful and helped arrange everything from the test-drive to the finance. I specifically asked the salesman if there is any faults on the car that I should know of because it would be mostly my wife and child using the vehicle, he was quick to respond by telling me that the owner of the dealership takes his brand seriously and therefore the vehicles he keeps are of a high standard. Well, during the first week I noticed my runflat tyre was looking flat and so I took it to be inspected, they found that the tyre had been flat for a long time and the runflat tyre was damaged before I had taken the vehicle, when Autohaus Scheckter was informed, they refused to replace my tyre on grounds that the tyre could have been damaged by me, and so I replaced the tyre. Just after a month of having the vehicle and already R3500.00 down, an engine coolant warning light came on, I took my vehicle to BMW, upon inspection they informed me that my car had been involved in an accident (Autohaus Scheckter never disclosed this with me). Autohaus Scheckter took my car back and did a few repairs which they deemed necessary in a period of 2 weeks, I was not given any courtesy car, the salesman told me that they did not know the vehicle was involved in an accident, and refused to let me speak to his boss whose name he did not even want to disclose. On my way back home after collecting my vehicle, the automatic transmission locked, BMW did another inspection and found that the gearbox along with a few other parts are faulty. Damages would cost me nearly R100000.00 to repair. I bought this vehicle under the impression that it was accident free and in an excellent condition, however, the vehicle was the complete opposite and I am sitting with the problems.
