i have paid in full for a spare spheros ****l and was informed that i would have to wait 4 to 6weeks for the ****l else i would have to pay a delivery charge but they will only deliver to the store(makes no sense to pay a delivery charge but they don't deliver to your residence you have to come to the store). i agreed to wait 4 to 6 weeks, when i follow up when my ****l would arrive the manager informed me, he will call me back with an update, but this never happened, once again i had to follow up with them again and now they inform me it might be here at the end of August (maybe ) but still will not confirm a date. it seems like no one is bothered about customer service. Waiting for spare ****l for 3 months but if you pay R183 it's here in 2weeks.

I purchased an ******** Tempest fishing rod from Basil Manning a few months ago. The top part of the rod broke the second time I used it. I tope it to Basil Manning at Cornubia mall on the off chance I could get a replacement top section. The staff suggested we sent the rod to ******** to see if they could replace the section. Today I collected the replaced section at no cost to me Unbeknown to me the rod came with a 1 year factory default warranty Great service from Basil Manning Cornubia as well as thanks to ********.

I purchased a barry more fishing bucket from basil manning which they carries a life time guarantee, I have sent it in previoulsy when I had problems and it was repaired, no questions asked ( look at your records BM) this time when I sent it because they could not fix it they told I had modified on my own, they are looking for every excuse not to honor the guarantee, they have even asked me for receipts from more than 5 years ago, I have purchased reels and rods from. BASIL MANNING SO I am not a once of customer, but they are not honoring there promise to the customer the sale rep advised me to purchase it cos of the guarantee yet they are looking reasons not to honor it, they need to go and looking the meaning of life time warranty,

Basil Manning has the best customer service that I have ever experienced. It because of the customer service that I end up buying equipment that I did not expect too. Guys like Darran in the Durban North branch are very helpful, saying he goes go's out of this way to assist is an understatement. Furthermore, the team has tried the equipment for themselves and give expert advice on what too select and don't just assume and look down on unexperienced customers" Andre from Richards Bay branch". Well done guys Keep it up.

Absolutely disappointed with Basil Manning. I recently acquired a space in Conobia mall lifestyle market to sell fishing equipment. I traded for one day and was given a few hours notice that I was not allowed to trade anymore due to Basil Manning opposing my stall. Basil Manning is a millionaire and felt threatened by someone as small as me. I had spent all the money I had to get this stall going only to be cut short, I now am sitting with stock and owing money to tackle suppliers due to Basil Manning feeling threatened by my small business. Our government supports small business and encourages us to find legal means to provide for our families. Basil Manning did something that is regarded as unfair trading I have always purchased from Basil Manning for the past 20years, now I will never buy from you again, I encourage everyone to support the smaller businesses and avoid buying anything from Basil Manning. I will be campaigning against Basil Manning on all social media platforms.

I sent my fishing rod in for repairs at basil manning springfield park last year. I recieved notification that my rod was ready for collection and had my wife call in to say that i was out of country and would collect wen i returned. Due to covid restrictions i was unable to return and when i did, i recieved another notification from janine in basil manning repair centre stating that i should not forget to collect my rod. Upon going to the branch to collect, i am then told that they cannot find my rod and further more only have documents stating it was the base section of my rod. I then explained to janine that it took my long to come collect as i was looking for my paperwork which i had lost and that i had left my entire rod there for fitment of bionic finger aswell as replacement of my front tip guide. She then advised they need time to locate the rod. A week later she asked me to come in to the store to meet her manager who is handling my query. He then says that he remembers me bringing in the full rod yet their paperwork only shows the base section but they will locate it but need some time. Its been more than a month now and everytime i contact janine about this, she says her manager is handling the matter and will get in contact with me, which never happens. This situation is becoming extremely frustrating as basil manning is giving this DONT CARE ATTITUDE. im not sure if it is the company or the staff, however this is extremely upsetting and disrespectful to me as a client of the store. Makes me wonder how many other people have to deal with this sort of thing. The basil manning name and brand is really being brought down here.
