Terrible experience ! We ordered furniture from Paul Chaplin furniture 3 ½ years ago We received ½ the furniture 8 months later with all sorts of excuses as to why the other ½ was not completed. (I then mistakenly paid the balance in full, with his promise to have the balance done shortly) Then months later, more excuses followed. Then covid came and more excuses followed. Around 2 ½ years later (and a lot of begging) i had to go and collect a 1/4 of the outstanding furniture which included an office desk which is so wobbly that i will have to send it to a carpenter for repairs The server was in a dark wood which is not what was discussed, nor did it match the all the other furniture which he made for us (which was all in light wood) The 3 x dressing tables where made in 3 different colour woods (again ,it was not what was discussed ,as we had agreed on a picture of one of his own designs in light wood like all the other furniture) We swallowed this as well. We where desperate and accepted all these faults. We then gave him more time (because he had more excuses) 3 ½ years later the biggest piece of furniture is still outstanding. This has been a terrible and heart-breaking experience. Paul Chaplin furniture told us that they are an honest business. We have found this, to not be true.
