We purchased a bed from their Comfort Solutions which was delivered in November. After experiencing severe pains and discomfort we exchanged the bed for another in the same range but our experience did not improve. We returned the bed and requested for a refund.
At the time of purchase, we were notified by BedKing Fourways that refunds were subject to a 15% deduction which also happens to be the industry standard. However, to my surprise, at the time of the refund, Bed King said the refund will be subject to a 25% deduction. On 24 December 2025, I visited the Fourways branch to process my refund. I was told it will take 10 business days to process. On the 11th day, i called to follow up and they said the delay was due to their bank, NEDBANK. Since I have no contract or relationship with Nedbank, I had no way of resolving the issue.
I escalated the matter to the Ombudsman, who contacted Bed King. On the 26 January, an accountant Andre Dalton sent an email claiming NEDBANK had agreed to re-process the refund. It's 18th February 2026 and i still have not received my refund.
Bed King Fourways has received the returned bed, yet continues to withhold my refund. This has caused me (and continues to cause me) significant stress and anxiety. I am now considering legal action to recover the funds. This entire experience has been a nightmare.
