Pros - the property is right on the coastline, as soon as you step outside you're at the beach. - if you're into the sound of waves crashing, nighttime is a real #win. - the luxury room is great, space-wise for a couple or a family of 3. I think all units have a spacious balcony for yoga/ working. The property itself has lots of shared spaces where one could work freely/ do an outdoor workout or have guests over. -lots of wardrobe space. - electric blanket is available and set out, on cold nights.
Cons: - most hospitality amenities are not available such as: lotion, a face cloth, slippers and a robe. - the walls in the units are bare at the time of writing this review. It doesn't have a warm Moroccan feel (as described on their Instagram bio), it feels instead like it's not quite finished. - no air-conditioning. Cape Town can gets really cold and windy even in spring and unless you come prepared you may have a cold stay. The electric blanket is a #win while sleeping but the rest of the time you may want to ask for a heater in advance. During my last visit there were only 2 heaters available throughout the hotel, and one of them was out of gas. If you're European/ used to European weather, it might not be a bother at all but if you're used to warmer climates I strongly suggest you make contact about this prior to your arrival. - lunch and dinner need to be ordered 8 hours in advance and this isn't communicated when you book. If you're arriving at night I'd suggest you contact them beforehand or make seperate arrangements. - there's no UPS/Power backup. During my stay they did experience a power problem (perhaps for 3 hours) BUT the water remained warm for a while and they do have a gas stove so a warm breakfast is still available. - the balconies could cleaner.
All in all, if you're looking for a hotel/luxury expe, I wouldn't recommend Belle Maroc. However if you're looking for comfortable and decent lodging by the beachside, this is a good place!
