Acrylic baths can be repaired!
Beta Baths was recommended by a plumber to repair a cracked acrylic bath. They arrived a smidgen late, but thereafter all proceeded swiftly and efficiently. The bath looked as new when they'd finished. I'm very pleased with the service.

When a heavy candle recently fell from a ledge onto our brand new built in bathtub, and cracked the fiberglass membrane creating a hole, we thought we were going to have to rip out the bath and retile everything after just 4 months. A quick Google, and we came across Beta Baths. I contacted them and Stephen (the owner) was quick to reply on Whatsapp and provide a quote. The process was simple and much more painless than replacing the bath. Day 1, they repaired the fibreglass hole/membrane with a fibreglass epoxy resin, which when sanded down was the same smooth finish as the bath. The bath was then sprayed white, and left to dry. Day 2, the team returned and buffed the sprayed bath down to a smooth matt finish. Excellent results and would definitely use this service again.

Excellent work from Beta Baths
An excellent repair and resurfacing of our old cast iron bath, which was peeling and badly discoloured. Owner Stephen arrived on time with his assistant Serge, who did the work professionally. Serge had to use filler to repair a dip in the bath -- you can hardly see it was filled. The polyurethane finish made the bath look like new. I give them 5 stars for a good job at a good price. #BlackFriday

Excellent work from Beta Baths

Poor quality bath resurfacing
I had a very poor experience with Beta Baths and would not recommend them to anyone. When resurfacing our bathrooms they did not cover things properly so we had all kinds of things sprayed...floors, wall,etc that were not supposed to be sprayed. They did try to remove the paint but you can still see it. They would also book appointments to come and spray and then just not show up. I always had to phone to find out where they were and then get some excuse. This happened twice during the spraying time and now 9 months later, the toilet, bath and basin have got patches coming off. I phoned them to ask them to come and have a look, and they booked an appointment...guess what they did not show AGAIN. Now they are just ignoring my e-mails. I found them very unprofessional and will definitely look for someone different next time.

Beta Baths won't refund my money!!
Stephen Lambrick and his team refurbish a bathtub for me last month. He asked me when he arrived for the job to pay him the same day. I was working until late that night but I kept getting text messages from him about when I would pay and if he could expect payment by the end of the day. I found this excessive but when I got home shortly before midnight, I went straight to the computer to retrieve his invoice. He had billed me R1800 instead of the R1600 we agreed on. I texted him about it. He replied immediately and apologized. He said R1600 was fine.<br> The first attempt to pay through online banking ended up with an error message. Thinking that the payment did not go through, I processed it again. It was only the next weekday (Monday) that I saw that the payment had gone through twice. Since then, I have called Stephen Lambrick (no answer), texted him (only responded twice...second time promised to refund my money) and emailed him (no answer). He was in such a rush and he pressured me to get paid but now that I have paid him twice in error, he doesn't seem to care about returning the money. Beta Bath's professionalism and integrity are at stake. Please refund my money!
