The child only attended the school for only 1 week . Now they say I must pay 4000 for what honestly?

Hellopeter! I registered my son at Betshalom in January I was still not sure yet at to weather I made the right decision. I then realized I won’t be able to pay for the fees at school. My son only went to the school for 1 week. I then sent the resignation letter immediately. I have the email and the date I sent that email stating that I’m a single parent and not working. So it will be difficult to keep the child at school since I won’t be having the money to pay. I sent them a Resignation letter now I just got this message saying they handed me over : Your BET-SHALOM SCHOOL account was handed over for collection. How? It’s really not fair because he only went to the school for only 1 week. Please help me
