one of their vehicles hit my car and drove off. I got the registration number and the traffic department confirmed that it was registered to Bidvest car rental grahamstown. When I reported the matter to Bidvest, I was told that their cars get cloned and they were not responsible. Thereafter, all my emails and calls were ignored to this date.

Bidvest car rental has changed its name to Bluu and the service is disgusting. I arrived in Cape Town with my car rental voucher which clearly reflected my name and the fact I had paid a deposit. The manager insisted that my daughter in the USA had booked the car in her name. I explained this was impossible and they must have made an error because my name was on the voucher. The manager then said he needs to phone my daughter in America to check if she booked the car. As I knew she would be teaching a class at the time I strongly rejected his request. I could not see the logic behind his reasoning and could only imagine he thought I was a dishonest, lying rogue. I had to argue for over an hour before they reluctantly gave me a car. Needless to say this set back affected our whole holiday. I can only imagine it was due to some computer entry glitch but to date I have received no apology. I will never be able to book through this company again. I just don’t know how I could have a voucher with all the correct details on it and just have it totally rejected at the point of collection.

We booked a family car on http://rentalcars.com for the weekend of the 10th - 13th September as we were going to bury my grandfather in the EC. the car was being picked up at OR TAMBO INT AIRPORT - BIDVEST CAR RENTALS For the Online payment on http://rentalcars.com we paid the amount of R5k. Upon Arrival at OR TAMBO INTL AIRPORT. Bidvest Car Rental gave us the run around regarding our license, being told that a code 10 driver can not rent a car with them only code 8 drivers. After some time they decided to give us the car and made us pay R4 200 as we were picking up the car. On the 16th we received this invoice regarding our rental and the company charged the credit card with R7 900.22. On Saturday 18th of Sept debited another amount of R7 900

Thank you for your invoice. I dispute the fuel charges raised of R101.03, as when I received the car from you the fuel tank was NOT full as the car had been driven from your Randburg branch to my work location in City Deep. I subsequently filled the petrol tank at an Engen garage some 5kms from my home at the Eye of Africa Golf Estate, where the vehicle was collected. I made a copy of the petrol slip and left it on the driver's seat for your records. You cannot expect me to provide you with a full tank of petrol upon return to your branch, when I never received it in that condition as is per your agreement. Kindly reverse these charges. The arrogant management don't even have the backbone to respond to a query which is abused by ALL car rental companies in this country. I will never chose to work with your business gain you are a RIP OFF !!!!

I hired a car on the 25 June 2021 and on the 16 October 2020 respectively, same car and same group. To my surprise I have realized that your rates have gone up by149% in less than a year. In October 2020 the daily rate was R148 and now in June 2021 the daily rate is R369 How is this rate increase justifiable and what causes such a huge difference? in such a short space of time.
