I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Bidvest McCarthy Menlyn. I referred a deal worth R900,000.00 after discussing the spotter fee arrangement with Loricke, who confirmed the terms upfront. However, once the deal was finalized, I was informed that no spotter fee would be paid. This is unacceptable. It was my first time doing business with this dealership, and based on my experience, I would not recommend sending any deals or referrals to them. They promise one thing but deliver something completely different, which is both misleading and unprofessional. I also discussed the matter with Shaun Sandera, and the same outcome occurred—no spotter fee despite prior discussions.

I honestly don't understand how VW Menlyn Parts Department is still operating with the way they treat customers. Every single time I call, I’m either placed on hold for extremely long periods or completely ignored. I don’t remember a single time I’ve received proper assistance over the phone. Even worse, while on hold, you can hear the staff casually chatting in the background, showing no urgency or intention to help. This isn’t just a once-off experience it’s been happening every time I’ve tried to contact them. The manager also seems uninterested and mirrors the same unprofessional attitude, showing no real effort to resolve the issue or take responsibility. This level of disrespect, lack of accountability, and poor service is unacceptable for a brand like Volkswagen. As a paying customer, I have the right to expect support, especially when it comes to parts and vehicle maintenance. VW Menlyn needs to be held accountable for the service they provide and how they treat people. I hope this reaches the attention of someone who will actually care enough to fix this.

The bad services EVER, a bought my car here in 2023 and always made sure i take it here for all services. On March the car started making funny noise, especially when i drive in a bumpy road, i took the car in immediately and technician told me that the problem my wheels, i bought new wheel and problem never stopped. i took the car in last week 08/04/2025 and they told me that the warranty has expired on 05/04/2025 so the car will not be covered under warranty - after a day they called me and said technician can't hear any noise from the car. i mean the noise is irritating and they ay they can't hear any noise. very dissapointed in Ellen and his team, they made sure they dont help me until warranty expire - i will take my car to some workshop to be fixed since THEY can't fix their own car... useless people

The bad services EVER, a bought my car here in 2023 and always made sure i take it here for all services. Its me the owner of Suzuki Swift who you fail to assist for 6 months and by yours faults, It’s so sad that after the car has been bought and all, and finding the mistakes after this so called Bidvest McCarthy VW Menlyn will remove their interest from you and treat you like you are never their client, it’s been 6 months now, and they forever bring up stories but then as a lesson learned I don’t see myself going back to that dealership and worse they will provide you with *****ulent documents and refuse to give you others, and act like there are ways you must follow in order to obtain original documents, like it’s been 5 months now ever since I reported the car to them which I only drove for not more than 3 months and they refuse to take accountability of they aware damages of the car pretending like they don’t, I regret setting my foot to this dealership, all they want is money no matter how it comes and when facing challenges they are nowhere to be found, like for me it’s 6 months now but nothing from their side is happening, but then I am not done I will expose them and will make them trend and famous as long as I am a victim here, they take people for granted and their managers are rude as well and their sales agent act like they are being bullying , but that doesn’t surprise me, they are just ***ards.

I bought used car in December and the car suddenly stopped and didn’t want to move , I am currently dealing with the dealership and have been requesting for documents which they are not providing me and some of the documents are looking *****ulent, and yes I even requested the dealership to provide me with a proof that shows that the car was serviced before leaving the dealership and same is not provided and I was told by the manager himself and the agent that they are not the ones who services the car but the other party and whereby the other party made it clear that everything is to be done by the dealership, I so regret myself buying my car from this dealer and yet they refuse to give me all the original documents of the car stating that same is obtained at the traffic department because they do not have.

VW Menlyn McCarthy is the most unreliable service and workshop ever. We buy a brand new VW POLO and there is something wrong since day 1 with the locking system. We did call and bring in the car for more than 3 times. All 3 times we could not walk out with a smile. There is always a problem. Then they did order the wrong locking system, then the workshop operator is not there to fix it, then the locking system don't fit. So all the time there is problems. They just keep quit till you need to get your Car late 17h30 and then they come with some explenations. All the time they say please bring it in again. So we are fed up. Never go there because their services is useless. Locking System is after 2 year still not fixed.
