Gross exploitation
I was recently offered less than 30% of my advertised price on a bike listed on Bikehub by James from Bikemarket.co.za. I noticed that there were at least 7 other folk on the site who complained about exactly the same practices. I asked him to phone me in response to his ad, I also left messages with his staff to which, he also has not rep****. The bike advertised is in my view advertised at absolutely a market related price. I know that as they run a business they need to make a profit but this is just gross exploitation. People in desperate situations will be severely compromised by organisations like this let alone the damage this does to the bike market. Shame on you. Making matters worse is the fact that the owner doesnt even have the decency to at the very least discuss the issue with me or on any of the other forums mentioned. My next step is to take this to the press.

Would recommend 100%
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Bike Market. Gave me an offer that exceeded my expectations and all other offers I had received. I just had to get my bicycle boxed and they arranged courier and paid me immediately. Customer service is also very responsive, helpful AND FRIENDLY - Nkateko is a star!

Unfair treatment
I resigned from Bike Market a couple of months ago due to unfair labour practices, conditions and treatment. They have an enormous staff turnover. Staff members resign on a monthly basis. I experienced first hand the verbal abuse, intimidation, victimisation and plain bullying by the owner, Alex Bramley and some of his “managers”. These “managers” are not even qualified for the position. Between Mr Bramley and his managers they do not practice fair labour policies and procedures. In fact there are no employment contracts and he employs young adults whom he can bribe with a good salary and then intimidate and bully them. Please can the Department of labour investigate this. Thank you

Exceptional Service
Excellent service received from the guys when I needed a bike to conquer the Cape Epic in 2017. My Giant Anthem is still going strong. I always recommend Bike Market to people looking for excellent bikes at an excellent price.
