Wow can’t believe this is still going on…. For some reason I decided to come on here to see if Shaun is still operating and apparently he is still taking money from people and not producing goods. I paid Shaun almost R100 000 in 2022 to make furniture for some of my clients, which we never received. I have messages of him admitting that he used the money and would refund it and to this day nothing….

I placed an order with Shaun, at Black Timber Woodcraft last year in November, for which he has been paid in full (to T Meintjies, according to the banking details provided on the invoice). I have, until today, not received the items I purchased. After several promises to myself and to my legal representative for reimbur*****t, he still has not reimbursed me or made good on the delivery of the goods that I ordered. Do not, whatever you do, trust this company to honour their side of a contract with you. They are basically ************. It is only due to work obligations with extremely tight deadlines (obligations to actually deliver to my stakeholders on dates promised by me) on my side that this company has not been summoned by the small claims court as yet. They have received several demands from my legal representative, and have promised to either deliver my goods to me on a certain date, failing which, they will reimburse my full payment to me. They failed on both accounts. Unfortunately, I have to accept that I made the worst decision ever trusting Shaun. You can keep my money, Shaun. Hope you can sleep at night knowing you basically stole it. Warning to other potential customers, though, be very aware of the ******** behaviour of this company. PS.... After several requests to Black Timber Woodcraft to honour our contract on the order I placed with them, or reimburse me, after several false promises by this company, and after waiting for ages, I was left with no choice but to expose this Company. So it isn't as if I didn't give Black Timber Woodcraft more than enough opportunity to redeem themselves.

UPDATE: CONFIRMED CON-ARTIST (numerous cases against him) Let me first say: I rarely write reviews (especially bad reviews) as I do not like to put people on the spot. However, I need to get this off my chest and warn other "possible" customers. I ordered a desk from this company 17 July. Upon acceptance I was informed it would be done in 2 weeks (the invoice stated 2 to 6 weeks). I was prepared to wait for quality work. I was promised delivery last week (week of 8th August). Never happened. I was promised delivery Wednesday 17th August. We had an appointment! Never happened. No notification even of being unable to make the appointment. Surely, you communicate with your client. I was once again promised delivery would come. To no avail did I ask for pictures to be sent as proof just to be delayed with more excuses. Now the above is FACT, not narrative. I am not bad-mouthing anyone, but I do notice a trend here. Unfortunately, it seems I have been cheated out of my hard-earned (and small savings fund). For I am the mother of two children (one of them disabled). I cannot phathom someone stealing from a person in this manner. Perhaps the job was "insignificant". Perhaps just another delay. Who knows. I only know that because of this I will not be able to afford another desk. Because of this I was unable to fall asleep. Because of this my entire week has been stressful and my children see and feel it. I rest my case. Whatever the reply to this may or may not be. BE WARY. NO DEPOSIT OR ORDER IS WORTH THIS STRESS.
