Wonderful service we got there after we were treated badly from the place we initially booked at, the Manager here was kind enough that he even offered us a free breakfast the following day (on christmas day). The stuff was very friendly and available to cater for our needs, mind you we were a family of 30 individuals but they still came through for us - a big shout out to Michelle and Denzel, you guys got a heart of Gold, stay blessed.

Our stay was nothing short of AMAZING❤️❤️❤️ The staff were super friendly, helpful and their service was absolutely amazing!!! The hotel is located closed to so many stores and restaurants which is just a walk away. The hotel room was clean, beautiful and had everything we needed. Thank you for the amazing stay @BlackBrick Cape Town!!! We will definitely be visiting again🙂🙂🙂

We stayed at the hotel in Cape Town with a group of friends, occupying 3 rooms for the 6 of us. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, they overcharged my credit card for one room, and only refunded the excess amount almost 2 months later after numerous reminders. The rooms themselves were appalling: sewage leaking from the bathroom pipes, despite multiple complaints; inadequate towels; no light in the bathroom; no air conditioning remote; stained bedding; and a sink that wouldn't drain. Despite daily reports of these issues, no action was taken. The so-called 'manager' was impossible to reach until our last day, during which they failed to correct the overcharge issue. We were promised compensation of 8000 rand for the myriad of problems, but four months and countless emails later, it remains an empty promise. I sincerely hope no one entrusts this hotel to be part of their journey. I have never encountered such poor accommodation and terrible customer service anywhere else.

Do not book here EVER! The location is just awful. Firstly when you walk in…there are just a few undesirable characters lurking around at the door which already put me off. My room was located just outside of the elevator which meant I could hear opening and shutting the doors ALL NIGHT LONG! People are screaming at all times of the night and there is a nightclub close by so if your room is close to it, forget about getting a good night's sleep. Secondly, the WiFi does not work AT ALL. Maybe you can catch it if you have a laptop but on your phone…forget about it which is weird considering there is a WiFi modem located in the room. The TV does not work at all. It’s not set up when you arrive and you need to call reception…using your airtime because there is no phone in the room to come and fix your TV for you - spoiler alert…they still won’t be able to fix it. Thirdly, the rooms are not soundproof at all…you can hear everything going on outside…I mean EVERYTHING. The car park is located on the third floor of a parking garage which is detached from the building. This is not stated when you make the booking. The breakfast is just AWFUL. It’s not a nice little setup, it’s just a grab-and-go. The first day we were given this FROZEN smoothie and HOT tuna sandwich…who wants to eat a hot tuna sandwich? We opted rather for the pastries. One upside I will say is that the coffee is decent. The third floor constantly smelled of ****…I mean every single day! I need them to relook at the concept of BlackBrick. You need to choose one. You can’t be in a hotel as well as an apartment building. Also, I will say they need to rethink the flooring of the room…why are there wooden floor panels? Needless to say, never book there.

Myself and partner both worked from home and during our stay the room we were in never had working wifi we reached out to management and got ignored. We then had several problems follow such as random power cuts, the aircon leaking, the hot water hardly working and so much more. Management was so unhelpful and disregarded each concern brought to their attention. When calling to reception for towels they would advise us they sending someone till date we have still not received the towels. Cleaning service would clean however room would still be dusty when returning. Would not recommend this Hotel for any long term stays as after a few weeks management would just stop giving a shxt as long as they get their funds they simply do not care and pay no attention to any concerns raised.

Not happy all with the services at blackbrick. We booked to stay in blackbrick for 4 days 3 nights, from the 29th September till the 2nd of October 2023 for 2 adults. There’s a receptionist that had a very bad attitude at night. We asked for clean towel after 2 days and we never got them at all, since the cleaner said to us she’ll bring them after 2 hours. Our room was never cleaned at all. That lady just cleared the sink only, she didn’t even wash the plates, nor do our bed. She left the trash just like that and left. Not happy at all. We had to wait hours before getting an iron cause they only had 2 irons for all of the rooms. There was no ironing boards.

I booked a room on the 18th of January on airbnb which was then cancelled on the 3rd of February when I was sipp to check in on the 5th of February. Reason for cancellation was a leaking pipe in the room I booked. I booked another room via bookings.com aim the 5th and the booking was approved. Once I got to the hotel I was told that ALL rooms (including the room which supposedly had leaking pipes) were fully booked. It was the mining indaba weekend and all hotels around the area were booked or the price had tripled since I booked on the 18th. The blackbrick kicked us out (myself and another customer) into the street telling us that there is nothing they can do. All the while it was their disception very poor business acumen including their gross disregard for customer service that cause all thia. The agent in charge of bookings Melany was very disrespectful and the manager did not even come to talk to us.
