Purchased my 2024 s1000rr from Motorrad Montana in May this year and I enjoyed it up until I took it for its 1st service during the last week of November, after collecting the bike it started cutting off power while riding,,,booked it in on the 3rd of December and I was told it’s got an ignition problem, which is common on those models…after two weeks of not having a bike,I asked for a courtesy bike because it’s really inconvenient not to have a bike during this time of the year!my request was refused,I was told that I’d be having my bike in a day or two….to date I’ve got no bike,I’m immobile and my life is just hectic, which is not fair to me cause I went for what I thought was the best bike on the market so that I wouldn’t have any struggles regarding the bike.since it’s been noted that the problem on my bike is common to the like models, why should I have to suffer in that regard? Paying for a bike and not being able to utilise it who a whole month is a total ripoff more especially because there’s no courtesy plan in place!im paying a fortune to be left stranded like this!!!!

a high level of professionalism and support when buying into a premium brand. What I received was delayed communication, inadequate technical support, and a series of excuses rather than solutions. I strongly urge any prospective buyers to think twice before purchasing from BMW Fourways or trusting BMW Motorrad South Africa with your safety. The support systems are not what you'd expect from a "premium" manufacturer, and the bike itself has not lived up to its promise in terms of quality, reliability, or peace of mind. I regret this purchase, and I would not recommend the dealership or the brand to other riders. There are far better and more reliable options on the market with companies that value their customers and take product faults seriously

A heartfelt thank you to Derick van Rensburg from BMW George. I initially enquired about a BMW R1250 GSA after 8pm one evening, not expecting a response until the next day. To my surprise, Derick responded immediately and with complete professionalism. He listened attentively to everything I had to say and assured me he would send through more information and detailed photos of the bike first thing the next morning. True to his word, Derick not only delivered, but exceeded my expectations. He provided a comprehensive breakdown of the bike’s history, answered all my questions thoroughly, and offered insights I hadn’t even thought to ask about. In an industry where overpromising and underdelivering is unfortunately common, Derick’s integrity and follow-through were truly exceptional. During a casual conversation, Derick suggested that I take a nice, relaxed ride back to Cape Town and enjoy the scenic route. I mentioned in passing that I had a birthday party at 2pm on Saturday, and without me even asking, Derick offered to come in earlier, before the dealership opened so I could get on the road sooner. He asked, “Would 7:30am work, or would you like me to come in even earlier?” I was blown away by his level of commitment not just to his work, but to me as a customer. Every step of the way, Derick’s communication was clear, thoughtful, and proactive. His genuine passion for delivering a great customer experience shone through in every interaction. When I arrived to collect the bike on Saturday morning, Derick was there waiting with a big smile he looked even more excited about the moment than I was! He had arranged a full “bike unveiling” experience, complete with smoke and a show, which made the moment feel truly special and unforgettable. Before handing the bike over, Derick asked me about my fami****ity with the bike’s software and features. Rather than launching into a generic briefing, he used keen observation and active listening to tailor the handover to what I already knew, and what I needed to learn. He guided me through the setup, helping me customise everything exactly the way I wanted it. His intuitive approach and attention to detail made all the difference. BMW is known for not just great products, but for creating memorable customer experiences. Derick has taken this ethos to an entirely new level. He turned what could have been a simple transaction into a truly joyful occasion one that left me feeling valued, understood, and excited. When the time comes to purchase my next bike (hopefully the 1300 GSA), I won’t hesitate to fly back to George to buy it from Derick someone I trust completely and who truly understands how to make moments like these meaningful. Thank you, Derick. Thank you, BMW George. If you’re looking to buy a BMW motorcycle, ask for Derick you’ll be glad you did. Your new loyal customer for life – David van Niekerk

Coolant my 2021 BMW that has less than 30 000 km is just running dry. BMW says on their website that all new bikes (from June 2020) come with a standing 5 year or 100 000 km motorplan. I got told that my bikes motorplan is inactive cause it was manufactured in 2019, yet the bike model says 2021. So needles to say that I have to fix a coolant leak out of my pocket on a bike that's on 25 500 km

I bought an extremely expensive Navigator VI, only to find out just after two years of probably only using it once a month, that it is a faulty unit and prone to problems. . . . . . . "I apologise for the unfortunately experience you have had with your BMW Navigator VI. *There were unfortunately lots of problems with these specific units.* BMW South Africa is currently offering a refund with a 20% depreciation per annum on the BMW Navigator VI. We would however need the GPS unit back with us, along with a copy of the invoice from purchase. We will then submit a claim to BMW South Africa and they will advise accordingly on the refund value." So they no longer replace the unit and offer 40% depreciation on a unit that they willingly sold, knowing that it has problems. Talk about a kick in the teeth. So provided I do get paid back the 60% of the "Depreciated Value" on a unit with no moving parts, I would still require an extra R6000+ to buy a replacement unit. Smells Rotten BMW.

After riding the bike I heard this whining sound when using the motor to slow down, took it in for its 1000 km service and asked them to test it bot mechanic and Foreman said it wasnt right, long story short nothing is being done I am sitting with a brand new bike that I will never ride and im paying for but it will be the last BMW I will ever buy.

BMW Emalhleni IS a SCAM. Too my BMW for service at BMW Emalahleni on Tuesday and to this day I have not gotten my car back. They promised to give it back yesterday which they failed. The security company got the gentleman who calls himself the owner by the name of GAUS or something who was very rude when we wanted our car to be released. the Service Manager who came was of no use as well. This has highly inconvenienced me as m still stranded in Emalahleni for the 3rd day. Pathetic customer service from this dealership. Have incurred losses due to their poor service as had to spend money on hotels and uber as I await my car.
