I recently visited the Boa studio in Durbanville for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience was highly disappointing. The quality of my gel nail application was far below acceptable standards—it was very thin, streaky in colour, and the tips of my nails were not properly sealed. Additionally, there were visible marks and embedded debris in the gel, which greatly added to my dissatisfaction. I was also concerned by the technician’s own nail condition, which did not inspire confidence in her expertise. During the appointment, she continually took tools from her apron, which was visibly dirty, and the minimal sanitizing she performed was not reassuring. I noticed that the technicians use each other’s equipment, and the lamp provided was dirty, both inside and out. My hand repeatedly touched sticky surfaces and debris, and the sides of the lamp were stained. The cleanliness of the studio's tools and gel containers was unacceptable—they were dirty. Gel were poured into foil for applications. Moreover, they did not have my preferred colour available, so I had to settle for an alternative. While the studio presents well from the outside, the interior tells a different story. The area where I was seated was so unclean that my shoes stuck to the floor, and the technician frequently bumped into me. The chair itself was filthy, with brown-stained armrests, making it uncomfortable to sit without touching the surfaces. Although the staff were generally friendly, the lack of hygiene was truly alarming. I do not intend to visit any Boa studio again, as I feel that my health and wellbeing were compromised during my appointment.

As pretty as these salons look, the quality of service is just bad. I started wondering if students were practising on me. I went to Boa Durbanville to spoil myself with a basic gel overlay. I had **** nails on that I do myself and they didn't know how to remove it so the nail tech became annoyed and made sure all her colleagues knew about it. The manager came over and made a snarky comment 'now you know not to do THAT again'... As the nail tech was filing, she was having fat chats with her colleagues and kept filing my cuticles. She also kept filing up my nail with snagged a few times making me nervous my nail would split. The gel application was so bad and thick with deep dents in them. I did not check the pricelist and was charged R285 for the removal and gel application. Turns out, the manager had pre-added the tip without telling me, so when I rounded the amount off to add my tip, this lady got a massive tip for the worst salon experience ever. It took 3 follow ups until they finally suggested a redo at another branch....while the service was friendlier at Kuilsriver, the quality of a basic gel application was once again lacking. Application was too thick and uneven. I did not do a 2nd complaint because at this point I realized that they do not have experienced nail techs to even do the basics. I would not recommend Boa Nail Salons to anyone.

Kuilsriver Boa Beauty Bar opened recently and I had a Qu Pedi done with Zoe... not only did she transform my nails she was friendly and professional. She is an asset to Boa. Thank you Zoe and all the staff.

Went in for the Queen pedicure package, came home and all the polished was smudged and all over the place, very disappointed. To make matters worse I have phoned the front desk 11 times with no answer.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! (not even worth the one star) Last year we made a booking for three, arrived and they only booked for two, luckily they were quiet enough to assist the third person. on the 28th I made an appointment for today at 13h15 for myself and my niece, first she didn't take my details, then when I asked how will I know I have an appointment? She took my nr and told me I will receive a sms as confirmation. on the 29th I phoned again, because I have not received any sms's. She told me that's strange because my appointment is made. Arrived for our appointment and behold NOTHING WAS BOOKED! Not only faced with the disappointment of a 7 year old, but when I requested a refund for my voucher the lady phoned the owner and she refused... when I said we are leaving on Friday so what does she want me to do, no she can assist me next week Thursday, guess she's going with on holiday! never never never again!

The worst service ever I tried to make two appointments. I sent a message saying I had difficulty making a two bookings at the same time online and if they could assist. Literally responded a whole day later. It took so long, I just booked at another institution which I also sent a message. Didn't even take 5min. Totally pathetic.

Words can't describe how Terrible the service and skills was. Booked an appointment for me and my sisters ( as we always go together to Boa Durbanville). Never in my life have I've deald with a the****** that hated her job so badly.Both was unfriendly,didn't introduced themselves and greeted us.My The****** didn't confirm what I'm here for and didn't once ask how I would like my shape.My nails looked like I've done it myself and the Gel was on my skin.My two big toes length was longer than the other one and my sisters nail was filed so thin it was sore and started to show pink raw skin.During the foot massage the the****** got up for no reason and was long gone didn't say why or what was wrong. Nobody said sorry about anything. They need more people that like to do nails and that CAN work with people. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR GOOD DAY THERE!
