Made booking online. Filled inincorrect dates. Contacted Boardwalk who telephonically confirmed that they will change the dates. The price remains the same and the balance remains the sum. requested confirmation. None received. Contacted Boardwalk. received confirmation reduced date and increased price. Contacted boardwalk. Apparently dates and amount is correct. I cancelled. Never received confirmation or refund.

We went to the Spur At the Boardwalk in Port elizabeth for a late dinner our Waitress Jessica who had a trainee t-shirt on was the most attentive waitress she had the most beautiful smile.. I think Spur should employ her full time as I havent come across such a wonderful waitress in a long time so we will definitely go back and make sure Jessica serves us again and ille definitely take her a Xmas gift to show our appreciation

I have been battling to get a refund from Sun International (Boardwalk Hotel in PE) for 5 weeks now. I have done an online reservation cancellation and requested a refund, then i was told to fill out a form and send proof of bank details, which i did. Then i was told that they tried and could not complete the payment. I was told to send another refund form and another proof of account, which i did. Once again to be told that they will try. Surprise surprise, no luck again. Then i was told to send another refund form and another proof of account, which i did for the 3rd time. I have sent numerous emails and all i get told it that it has been signed off and it should get done soon. This is now 5 weeks later and i still do not have my refund??? This is absolutely pathetic service from what is supposed to be our top hotel group in SA. They are quick to debit your account and the money goes off immediately to secure your booking, but when by law they need to refund you, they have 10 000 reasons to why it has not been refunded yet. I suggest that if you book in areas where this hotel group is, rather consider the privately owned smaller bed and breakfasts, where you will get proper service and not just be another number. Shame on you Boardwalk and Sun International. ps. I i am still waiting for my refund!!

Stayed at the Board walk hotel and casino ,Made arrangements for a slice of cake 4 days prior with Xolani ,called them a day before and the night before and they still missed the request. The VIP service especially Zintle was very rude and abrupt ,will definatly not go back.

We booked in at boardwalk hotel the 16th.We were greeted by an unfriendly reception staff even though it's not our 1st time here. She did not give us breakfast times or where to take the lift to go to room 130.We settled in then when we opened the fridge it could not close and I had to store my insulin in the fridge we were then moved to room 305 which is a mile away from the lift and i'm also a cardiac patient. Then room 305 the sliding was not easy to close as it gets stuck on the rail.To my dismay the bed was at the worst quality as when I wake up in the morning my back is so flippin sore I even went for a back massage. The 18th morning I advised the guy at reception he said he was going to report it.The night I phoned housekeeping the lady came to the room and checked the bed then she said she will report it to Reception as there were no spare mattresses but there was unoccupied rooms could she not organised a mattress to make out stay comfortable. Then reception said they will report it to the morning reception staff,to my dismay I asked day reception and they were clueless of and complaints regarding the mattress. And the other worse thing is nobody advise us about the people working and building my word I'm on holiday and to be woken up so early with the noise they making in the morning.Serious the only person really taking care of us was Sibongile Dodo at breakfast.I don't think Boardwalk is a 5star hotel no more service and hotel deteriorated very much. I'm here till 21st Monday and will have to endure your bad quality of your bed.

So, I made a booking for the High Tea for my daughter and her friends as a treat and a goodbye as we are leaving SA soon. Having been there a few times myself with my friends I thought it would be nice. Well it was a total disappointment and waste of money. R700 down the toilet. The eats were limited and disappointing. Never mind that you can only get Five Roses and Rooibos at a High Tea. Absolute rubbish service as well. I phoned to complain last week. My name and number was taken for a manager to call me back, well silence is all I have received. I wont ever go there again and I doubt my friends will either. This service has been slowly deteriorating and is now a joke. Dont waste your time or money. Go somewhere else.
