What an appalling service that ruined our week. The insufficiently trained ‘manager’ stereotyped us by shifting blame due to an order mix up. In other establishments we visit in SA and abroad an order mix up is typically the easiest to fix, even fast food like Md dees, Taco Bell etc can rectify issues easily. Not the case at Bossa. The manager immediately shifted blame and was more concerned about causing a scene than listening to the customer and focusing on first contact resolution. Although he remained calm, he was patronizing and is not customer service orientated as he missed the whole point. Customers want to support local eateries but in exchange we expect a little respect and don’t want to be stereotyped as people looking for freebies. It’s sad that despite other members of staff such as Claudia who remain customer focused over the years, the place has gone to the dogs. The last time we were there there was a fight between patrons and staff. We decided to give it another go as we like the ribs and live in the area. It should be easy right? Wrong. Needless to say we still did the right thing and paid our bill and tip, without the order as the food is not the only reasons customers go to restaurant. The experience is as important. Sad that the lack of ability to handle customers at all times even when things go wrong is ruining an otherwise good thing. Sad.

I was at the at Bossa at the entrance I was told all the tables are reserved then I sat in the middle, then I asked the other waiter about the tables and apparently none of those tables were reserved it's just the lady didn't want me to sit there for some reasons I don't know. I left the place without even ordering because I couldn't understand why she would treat a customer like that. Ain't all customers supposed to be treated the same.

Disgusting service I went there with my partner and niece and left absolutely humiliated. After waiting outside in the wind (not in the reception) for quite some time, I went inside to ask if they could give me a waiting time more or less so that I could come back. I was met with complete disregard by the lady at the door (she refused to greet me back before taking my temperature, did not make eye contact with me once). After I asked for a waiting time, the lady shook her head, my response was "okay" the manager comes storming towards me "Listen mam, I don't have time for this. I'm only dealing with bookings! If you want to sit outside in the wind by the pool, then go take a table there! If not, you can leave!" I then proceed to ask him why he is so hostile. (she then tells him in Afrikaans that she already told me there are only tables outside - keep in mind she never spoke to me once). Both of them basically start screaming at me. I was calms up until this point and then shouted back that they are absolutely sick for treating customers like this especially after I was a loyal supporter of their establishment. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE OR TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A PERSON OF COLOUR.

We used to stay in Gordon's Bay so we had our sweet spot for having a good time. Recently we relocated to Somerset West and Bossa is definately our new spot! I honestly cannot complain about anything. The food has always been good, the service has always been good and they are well priced. Value for money and a decent spot to have a good social time. A lot of restaurants can take notes from these guys

What a horrible service experience. Waited 10 minutes to be served then 45 minutes before half the drinks arrived. Waited another half an hour and when other drinks never came and the waitress who served us went missing, we left. Nice location. Horrible service.

Last week Friday we had booked for almost 8 or people but as we were seated got reminded about how we must leave because they are using tables for another function. I find it disgusting that we had to be rushed when there were so many tables available for them to do so. The waitress had such an attitude while service was taking place , never got time to even think about what we would like to eat or drink because we were rushed to order immediately. Then with such disgusting service , was still meant to give tip; whether it states to give tip because of the number of people at a table, if service is bad I don't see why a tip should be given. Would not recommend to anyone .

Shocking service as always..... Amazing venue and its only the pool that brings me back...... Sitting for over an hour 90% of the time before anyone comes to bring a menu..... Making eye contact with waiters who can see a table is empty and they choose to look away and walk away..... You could really make this an amazing place if you can only improve the service 1000 times... And never any feedback to complaints
