Hello Peter, I am so frustrated and im really hoping you can assist with a way forward. I live in a flat with my kids and the water bill has been rediculously high, i have phoned the local municipality and asked them to email me the water bill. What i noticed is that there is only one bill for whole complex and there are about 70 units and the bill is R31288 im only assuming because i couldnt ow that much for water lol. I want to know who i can speak about our Bill which is now estimated at R 1100 i really need to know how they came to that amount this mnth? Please help or tell me who to speak to about this as i feel we are being robbed. Many thanks and kind regards, Norma

<p>Hello </p> <p>My landlord has been charging me extra amounts on rent for no sweet reasons under water bill item on the invoice. This has been happening since October last year after we were told that we won't be paying any water charges from October 2016 till February 2017 (letter was issued notifying about that). But there have been accumulating figures reflected under water charges and they were sitting in +-R2000 on the January opening balance. In March I was forced to pay atleast half of it which was about R990 and was threatened to vacate the flat if I don't, Beginning of May they said it was water meter misreadings and they will credit me with that half amount I paid. They did credit me but yet again forced me to pay the remainning half of which I didn't until now. They cut my power now and again if I question these amounts called "arrears". I feel like my rights as a tenant have been violated. Please intervene. I have all correspondences in black and white from the beginning.</p>
