Bought a property in Sep 2021 that had a Speck Pools pool-pump installed in July of that same year. The pool pump was sold by Brandon's Pools with a 3 (three) year warranty. The pump stopped working about a month ago, and Brandon's Pools were called in to attend to whatever repairs were required. They removed the pump, and sent it to Speck Pumps for inspection. I spoke to Colin from Brandon's about 4 days after the pump was removed, and he promised to check the progress with Speck, and revert. This never happened, and a week later, I received a quotation from Brandon's for almost R7,000 for a new pump. No courtesy call. No explanation. Just a request for more money. I called them and spoke to Anton, who told me to call technician at Speck Pumps. The technician was annoyed that I was referred to them, and because I would not just accept their decision that whatever the problem was, was not covered by the warranty. Much frustration later, I received a report that the motor had flooded, without any plausible reason for this. I spoke to Raffick at Speck, who also promised to look into the matter, and revert. I have not heard from Raffick or anyone else at Speck since. Long story short, my insurance providers sent an assessor to my home, and whilst they have agreed to replace the motor, he could not see how the motor could have flooded as a result of misuse, nor could he find a water flood-line on the sand filter, or the DB, both of which are located right next to where the pump was. Also, the entire installation was done by Brandon's so it would have met their installation requirements. Based on my experience here, if you're looking for a pool pump manufacturer or supply company, that also delivers good service and will honor their warranty, then I cannot with a clear conscience recommend either Brandon Pools, nor Speck Pumps.

Brandons Fourways sent a team to replace sand and check pump. They arrived at the agreed time and the team of Augustine and Elias carried out the works swiftly and identified the pool pump system problem and filter problem and repaired both.

Just a huge shout out and praise to Brandon's Pool Care Leaping Frog... They have just completed a 3 day project mabiliting the pool, installing a salt chlorinator, replacing filter sand (and various other pump components) and installing a complete roof solar panel pool heating system. The project was extremely well managed, communication at all levels was way above expectations, and pricing was very competitive. All staff on site were also very professional, well presented, well mannered and friendly. The quality of the work was also excellent, with absolute attention given to the smaller details. What really impressed was the neatness of their work and also how they kept the site clean and tidy at all times. Thank you Kevin, to you and your staff, for an exceptionally well managed and executed project.

Used them twice and both experiences were unpleasant. 1st incident they failed to send me an invoice after i repeatedly requested one, a few months later they threatened legal action 2nd incident they changed my pool filter sand and informed me i may need a new creepy, i was then contacted and informed my pump need to be replaced, upon getting a second opinion from another company i was informed i didn't require a new creepy or pump therefore Brandons pools are unethical and looking to take advantage of customers. I would recommend using anyone but Brandons pool

I have been a loyal customer of Brandons for 20 years. I have only used Brandons Pool Care in Fourways for all my maintenance, water testing and chemicals. This is the second Zodiac Chlorinator that I have had and I have always been extremely happy with the product. On 3 April I mailed for a quote for replacement or repair of my chlorinator. I also sent photos of the old unit and explained what was wrong. On 12 April I received the quote for R11,120.00 for a replacement Zodiac unit and told that full payment was required before installation. Owing to my experience of receiving bad service from other companies in the past, I refused to pay the full amount and agreed to paying 80% of the quote. The job was then done. To my disappointment, when the job was done I found that it was completely unacceptable. 1. The old chlorinator had a timer. The new one needed to be manually turned on and off( as in the 70's) 2. The electrical control box was fitted to the outside of the filter housing box – exposing it to the elements. 3. Because of where this control box was fitted, the housing box lid no longer closed, allowing rain into the inner of the filter housing box. When I phoned and complained to Samantha, I was treated extremely badly, as though it was not their problem as the new units do not come with timers. It could be rectified if I were to pay another R8000. I was completely shocked by her attitude and told her that if Brandons could not give me the correct chlorinator then I wanted her to remove it and refund me. Samantha said this would be done but she would deduct 10% from the refund even though none of the bad service was any of my fault. This is no way to keep customers happy. At no time was she apologetic and was actually shouting at me over the phone after I said that I would never set foot in Brandons again and would be sending my bad experience to “Hello Peter” and other consumer complaints. For a service in which I was the one who lost out and had absolutely nothing to do with the wrong item being supplied, when I eventually received my refund, R1000 had been deducted. How to make R1000 for doing nothing ! John Booth

I called Brandons Pool Care in Lonehill to come and repair a leaking pipe on our pool's pump. They fixed the leaking pipe, but damaged the wiring, causing our houses electricity to keep tripping repeatedly. I then called the owner Kevin ( ********** 503) and he said he would send his electrician to come and fix the problem, which he did but then billed me for it, even though his own staff had caused the problem. The staff on the phone were very evasive and were not professional at all. They do not return any of my calls and the owner no longer answers his cell phone.

I have been a customer of Brandon's Pool Care (BPC) for more than 20 years. I recently requested a service and was advised that the filter housing needed replacement. On at least 4 separate occasions, I advised BPC of the day and range of time that the work could be completed. BPC insisted on payment upfront (R4,500+). BPC did not arrive. I phoned to speak to Kevin (the long-time owner). He simply fails to respond with no explanation. This was teh same experience with the last service about two years ago. Beware - this company / business is not reliable and not willing to rtake responsibility. Now to get my money returned!!!

I asked Brandon's Pool Care in Leaping Frog to assist with algae in my pool. The came out and assessed the problem and send me a quote which I was requested to pay in full before they would come and sort the pool. I paid on the day I received the quote and was informed they would come out on Monday. They never turned up, never called. When I followed up they said they would come on Tuesday. They came out on Tuesday and not only treated my pool but removed my pool cover so that it was pulled off the rails and unable to close. They informed me they would be back on Thursday. And never turned up on Thursday and didn't bother to let me know. Today Colen informs me that the might be here around 3pm or so - how do they expect everyone to sit around and wait for them when half the time they don't turn up and don't bother letting you know they're not coming. And yet they still want their 100% upfront payment.

Clearly there is no-one managing this business and customer service is the last thing on their minds. A week later and my pool cover is still off the rails and my pool still isnt done.
