CBISA Earle Whiteley False Promises
Earle Whiteley, the owner of CBISA (Conservation of Butterflies in South Africa) www.cbisa.co.za, SABBA (South African Butterfly Breeding Associations), www.greencoindigital.co.za and www.butterflywedding.co.za. took my money after promising me a butterfly dome.
After paying for the CBISA courses, I received the learning material, studied and wrote exams (exams are written via replying your answers on an email to Earle). Got a certification, probably drawn up by Whiteley himself. The learning material was written by Earle as well. The study material is full of spelling errors, grammar issues and most of the content is being repeated and clearly copied and pasted. The content is helpful, but not worth the amount he charges for it.
The course promises 6 gravid females to supply students with eggs as part of the course. I received 2 butterflies. One was dead and the other was injured and couldn't lay eggs. He made up for it by supplying eggs, larvae, and pupas. But he wrote my address unreadable on the package and caused delay on the delivery. When the package eventually arrived most of them died.
Finally, I have ordered a 3x3x3 meter butterfly dome from Earle of above R 6000. Paid for the dome over a course of 3 and a half months. I am still waiting for the dome. Each time I follow up on the dome, there is a different excuse. It's been 5 and a half months since I have made the final deposit. I started thinking that maybe there wasn't even a dome to start with. After requesting for a refund several times, he started avoiding my calls and messages deliberately. My TrueCaller is showing me that he can see that I'm trying to phone him. He is ignoring my WhatsApp messages even though he is online and active with other people. Thereafter he removed me from the student group on WhatsApp.
When we phoned him from a different number, he answered. We convinced him to make a refund. He told us he will make the refund in a few days but never did. When we tried contacting him about it he started avoiding any calls and messages/emails again.
He is the only contact person for all his businesses. There are witnesses and other consumers that will confirm that they have also been treated unfairly.
Please do not trust any of the services offered by Earle Whiteley, he takes your money, promises you that you will get what you paid for soon and stops communicating with you so that he can get away with stealing your money.
