Toyota Caledon supposedly pride themselves on their ability to make and meet commitments and pay attention to detail, yet they sold me a brand new faulty Toyota vitz with rust on it... They treat you like royalty untill the sale is done and the after sales manager (Riaan Lambrechts) is just there to throw warranty in your face.
My front brake discs had to be skimmed twice, rust had to be cleaned, car's starter is inconsistent, unable to switch off the stability control, on most occasions it's a struggle to go in reverse gear, there's a vibration which comes at a certain speed, clutch had to be replaced because of insufficient clamping which almost resulted in me causing an accident on the N1. After the clutch was replaced, the car was able climb hills effortlessly but before that it was a struggle because I had no idea the car had a clutch problem. Out of all the times I had to take the car in, I've had to sacrifice my time and money for problems that was never my fault to begin with and if the car had to be test driven then it's out of my pocket, petrol that I paid for to fill the tank.
The reason why I bought a new car was to avoid a constant back an forth because of underlying problems but it's the total opposite. I regret buying a car from Toyota, especially Toyota Caledon and I'll never support Toyota ever again.
I'll never recommend Toyota Caledon to anyone and if Erad De Lange (director) has something to say about my review, he's more than welcome to contact me!
