So my friend and I decided to go to California Dreaming by South beach this past weekend (25th of September 2021) for lunch and drinks. Firstly when we got there, the food and drinks are super expensive but we decided to stay anyway. Our waitress (I forgot her name) did not pay much attention to us as she was focusing on the table behind us because it was a large table and they were there to celebrate a birthday. So moving, on I ordered a beef burger which chips and my friend had ordered panko wings and a plate of chips on the side. Firstly, the chips were frozen and did not taste appetizing at all. Secondly, when I bit into my burger, it was raw in the middle. That thing was still pumping blood. I told one of the other waitresses and she took it away. Mind you, I was super hungry, I had not eaten the entire day and being served a raw burger was not what I had in mind. I understand that mistakes do happen in the kitchen but what came next was a shock. The same burger that they took away, they put it back and re-fried AGAIN! My expectation was that the burger would be replaced with a new one and the same one that they took away. Mind you I paid R145 for this ****** burger. Not even a manager came to apologize for the error, or compensate in some way. The entire restaurant did not care! Now let me tell you about the Panko wings my friend ordered. They were dry, bland, salt less and beyond crispy! Not what we had in mind. I have worked in the customer service industry for a very long time and what I saw this past weekend was beyond shocking and it is disheartening that no one in the restaurant cared. We do not normally complain about bad service because we know that they need their jobs and depend on them to feed their families but there is no respect in that restaurant. I am never going back there ever again.
