Pursuant to the judgement against VW SA and ordering them to refund us the amin and road fees they have charged upon the conclusion of our vehicle sales, I have requested them to inform me when I can expect to receive my refund and to date still no response? This is typical delaying tactic, and I will not let this go till that money is paid! #PayBackTheMoney we get enough rip off from you guys on the expensive vehicles, and ridiculous commissions and let alone interest that are negotiated with the banks! Utterly Unacceptable!

In November last year my car went in for it's annual service at Cape City. There were a number of things I had asked them to check and fix which weren't done and the car came back dirty. I then had to have my tires replaced in December. After dropping my car off a TWT I got a call to say the tool needed to unlock the nuts to take my wheels off was missing. VW had done wheel alignment for me and so would have used the tools. I went there to speak to them and was told the technician who had worke don my car a month ago remember specificially putting the tools back. After some argument they agreed to go to TWT and take the wheels off so my tires could be sorted out as we were travelling to Plett two days later. I was promised the tool needed would be replaced the next day. Yesterday, 9/01/2017 I still hadn't heard back so contacted VW to have to follow up again today and then be told the tool needed hasn't been ordered and they don't feel they should have to replace it seeing as there is no proof that they lost it! How disgusting!!

No apology for the inconvenievce, or for the fact that if I had not beeig having my tires replaces I would have only didscovered the tool missing when I had a flat tire which could have been halfway to Plett in whic case I would have been stranded as there would be no way for me to remove the tire.

I am disgusted in Cape City Volkswagen for the way in which they handle their customer service. I initially bought my car in November 2013, brand new i might add. Since then i have taken my car to Cape City Volkswagen branch four times for a water leak on the front passenger mat, now since i am in need of a courtesy car to get me from A-B because my car usually spend between 3-5 days at the branch, every single time i need to take my car in there is a long delay from the time i call until my car actually gets booked in i first need to fight and follow up before anything gets done. Three weeks ago i called them to advise that for the fifth time in 2 years the problem is still ongoing the car's mat is wet again, is this not maybe a factory fault? i have to deal with this issue time and time again after they got a call the second and third time should they have not made a better plan to ensure that whatever the problem might be gets fixed. I have literally delt with so many individuals at that branch yet non of them are able to assist me. Everytime they follow up they tell me a car will only be made available the following week that is always the excuse. Honestly i do not care what you have to do i am fed up with the service, with the last time being December 2015 my car came back the aircon was not working they left the computer box of my car ontop of my batery i had scratches on the plastic inside the car and again had to take the car back i mean really not only cant you fix my car but it comes back in such a state, come November of this year my car will be out of warranty what then? i sit with the **** that Cape City Volkswagen sold me then it will no longer be their problem. I work my **** off to pay for a BRAND NEW PROBLEMATIC car and since its already been their FOUR times it still can not be resolved.

PATHETIC BUSINESS PRACTISE, i do not recommend CAPE CITY VOLKSWAGEN to anybody. If you were planning on purchasing a vehicle from them my suggestion is to think not twice but thrice.

NO Response on Enquiries???!

Last week I sent various emails to an agent named Christo at the Cape City Vw, requesting/asking if there are any cars available namely CC/Passat and to date, I have not received any sort of response. It's evident that VW does not want my business, and I should rather switch to the best alternatives, possibly go for a Audi or similar. I really liked that CC, and/or passat but if it means bad customer service, I'd gladly forfeit it. I also made several other enquiries in other dealerships, and nothing to date??? Not sure how hard it is to find me a Diesel, TDI, Sunroof, Leather, Not more than 40 000 km on the clock, 2014 to date models. If I don't get any response by Monday, I'm seriously walking!!! Thanks a lot!

I have a brand new Polo which I purchased from a dealership in Vredenburg. I recently moved to Cape Town, which meant taking the car for its 15k service had to be done here. Cape City was the only one available, so I took it to them.

Excellent on the welcoming, booking, etc. After the service the customer service department kept hassleing me though.

A week later I realised that the aircon is not working so I phoned them and they said the sales agent will contact me. 5 days later I was still waiting, so I phoned them again and I 'magically' got through to the agaent. I explained my aircon does not work, the light goes on but no click sound or cold air comes through. The agent then told me that this was not part of the service it was booked for, and that I will have to pay for this.

Now to my understanding of a brand new 9-month old car this is part of the warranty on the car, right??

Also they didnt even bother listening, I was just told that it will cost me over R900 to diagnose the problem and the rest will add up to the bill, and the auto-elec is on leave and the will only be help me at the end of June. Really now??

So this morning I phoned my dealership in vredenburg in which I purchased the car and there I was immidiately told that this is warranty service and that they will organise the service with a dealer near me in Cape Town.

Excellent Vredenburg VW!!! Thats how it is done.

As for Cape City VW, I would not recommend them to anyone. Quick on money taking, last in the qeue for service!!!

Now these guys are on a high level of corruption. Took my car to them to have my wiper blades replaced and the was a leak on my window washer system. For a week my car was there. Nothing was done on it, when i went to them they gave me stories but asked me to leave my car with them again. The second week they gave me a quotation and i paid for parts to be ordered. I paid on Sa****ay and was told the part will arrive Tuesday. When i called on Friday to arrange to pick up the car i was only then told the parts havent arrived. Then about an hour i was told the parts arrived, 3 mechanics are working on my car.

I was informed to pick it up at 1630B. After picking up the car i realised nothing was done on it. I had told the sevice agent that i have to drive to johannesburg. I asked for my refund of the money i paid and the refused, asking me to go to another VW which i did. The car was eventually fixed by the other VW. i then noticed that i have a balance left for me. When i asked for this money the manager refused telling me that he will send me a break down of things that were done on the car meaning he wont be paying me.

I have a different car of a different brand and i never experienced such, so I'm not sure if it is VW having such poor service or it is only Cape City VW. Terrible service and dishonest people. If i had driven to johannesburg, i would have never gotten my car fixed. Mr Manfred Haf get your dealership in order please.
