Worst experience ever, outright theft!

Hello Peter I contracted Cape plumbing and electrical for a number of different jobs end of September 2023• 1. Fixing a leak in my ceiling - which started leaking again after about 3 weeks 2. Installing a washing maschine- I had to take in a Boschtechnician almost immidiately after Colwin ,who is a plumber, had installed it as Colwin said there was something wrong with the machine as it was banging and jumping around on the spin cycle.I stood and watched the Bosch technician remove the transport bolts. There was nothing wrong with the washing machine. When I confronted Colwin with this he was adament that he had removed the transport bolts, despite clear proof that he had not. 3. He put in clear burglar bars in the house, I was suspicious of the quality of the installation from the start as they were very ” wobbly”.My son quite easily pulled them loose.I have subsequently engaged another security firm, obviously at en extra cost, and he removed all the burglar bars quite easily, they had been put in place incorreclty, some were not even anc****d with a rivet. 4. Colwin undertook to install trellie doors for 2 doors. According to him they had to be fully paid upfront before he could place the order, so I paid R 42 824 for 2 trellie doors end of September 2023 which he to this day has not delivered. Investigations on my behalf has shown that he never paid the manufacturer for the trel****oors after placing the order.Investigations has also shown that Colwin had more or less doubled the cost of the trel****oors that he qouted me compared to what the manufacturer had qouted him. I have demanded a full refund of the trellie doors and the clear bars which Colwin has denied (total R52 397) and I have had to engage an attorney and filed a report of theft. There will be a courtcase about this. 5. Colwins son, who is an electrician ,fixed a small electrical fault in my house. He said that this was just a temporary fix, that the whole house needed rewiring. He sent me a qoute for R 19000 . I took in another elctrician for a second opinion who said there is nothing wrong with the wiring , and this was obviously another attempt to ripp me off.

All in all I have paid Colwin R 70 000 for the above.I can only warn anyone from using Cape plumbing and electrical.
