Professional Service
A very big shout out to Etienne and Jacques for the utmost professional and personal assistance to my wife who had a tyre blow-out on the N7 29/07/2025 at about 06:00. You went beyond your duty to assist my wife, saw to her safety and assistance with the problem. You made sure she arrived safely at her destination as well as assist with everything else. More people like you would make this world a much better place. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I would like to write a review about MiWay Insurance I called in before 8am this morning as my car cut off while driving along the n7 on my way to work. Got helped relatively quickly, called updated every step of the way while finding the closest recovery team to me, made sure i was home safely afterwards. Really big ups to the towing driver, good laughs and really good service, made the headache of the car breaking down a little less annoying. Thank you to the Miway team and Cape Road Assist

I would like to write a review about MiWay Insurance I called in before 8am this morning as my car cut off while driving along the n7 on my way to work. Misrepresentation of the company (****mers)!!!
Do yourselves a favor and NEVER and i mean NEVER let Cape Road Assist tow your car. No matter how desperate you are. Despite assurances from the driver that insurance would cover the fees, they later demanded payment directly from me. Additionally, they attempted to conceal the terms and conditions, which include a clause prohibiting legal action against them. I am now being asked to pay R4000 for towing, a situation I wish to prevent others from experiencing. I urge you to seek assistance from another reputable company to avoid falling victim to such ****s. If they arrive at the scene of accident, tell them you will find a reputable company to tow your car.

God-sent Towing Services
I couldn't be more grateful for Melanie & Henry's assistance during the early hours in a soon to be very busy CBD. Being female alone stranded in the dark on the side of the road, and getting this excellent service, made the traumatic experience so much better than anticipated. Melanie took my call just before 6am and stayed in contact via Whatsapp. Henry arrived with a flatbed to tow my bakkie in less than 40mins. He even checked in later on to hear if I got to work safely. I could trust him to tow my bakkie back home without me going with. Excellent service both of you- Thank you so so much. When in need of a towing service you don't just want fast and professional services. You also want kind and compassionate people...and that's exactly who God sent my way this morning. I will pay it forward

Dishonesty
On the 28 around 2 am I had tyre burst when I was changing my tyres a towing truck pulled over of which I told them I'm fine I don't need they assistance when I was changing the tyre to put the spare wheel police came also to ask what I'm doing as happening I explain to them. They told me if i don't want to be arrested I shold let this tower truck company take s home and the car of which they charged me 650 which I don't have as I'm unemployed I told the police this and they insisted this guys to take me home and tower the car or I will be arrest for drinking and driving which I had few drinks during the day on the 27 so I told them i will organise the money in the morning which was 650 but when I call them on the 28th around 2pm to ask about the car they said it's 4800 if I want the car but ask the agreement was 650 why 4800 now they said for storage which I did not understand because the is no amount on the recipient they said I signed of which that signture is not mine. On Saturday 30th I called them again which I wanted to make arrangements with them they refused now the amount was 6200 I asked them how I'm gone pay that kind of amount if I don't have the car which I use sometimes to make money for rent food nd my daughters school things as I'm unemployed they said I must pay or they will repossess the car. Please assist me as I do want to pay them if they can prove I signed and also send me invoice on how they charge their clients. I did not call this company it's the police who forced the issue of a towing truck because they were afraid I was gone drive but the car had 2 tyres that were flat I was waiting for another tyre and also if I wanted a towing company the track on that car provides towing assist why i did not call them?

Excellent, fast and professional service.
Thank you so much to Cape Road Assist. They were at the scene within 30 minutes me logging the call to my insurance. Very professional. I received a phone call to say that the driver was on the way and he arrived less than 10 minutes after that. Nathan (the driver) provided excellent service. He was quick, efficient and extremely professional. He even updated me to say that my car was safely at the garage. Thank you for taking the stress out of what could've been a terrible experience. I truly appreciate your great service. Nathan is a star!

Deceptive billing practices
If you're ever in an accident, please do not use this towing service. At first we were pleasantly surprised that one of their bakkies showed up unexpectedly to the scene of our accident and offered to tow our vehicle to Montague Gardens. To our surprise the car was towed all the way to Brackenfell. We asked several times while waiting for the tow truck to arrive what we would be charged and were told each time that we wouldn't be charged because of a partnership they have with the repair shop, who pays them some kind of finders fee. In hindsight this makes absolutely no sense. Little did we know that we'd eventually have to pay approx R6k in towing, "storage and admin" fees that are not stated upfront. The repair company commented on how excessive this fee is and advised us to chase this up with CRA, but unfortunately could not release the vehicle to us until we'd paid. CRA's response was that this is the going rate for cars involved in accidents as the vehicle is immobile, which honestly makes no sense. Other than the fact that our vehicle wasn't in fact immobile, it costs the same amount of time and resources to tow it from point A to B regardless of what's wrong with it. As for storage costs, the CRA employee we enquired with let us know that they charge R495 a day despite CRA not even storing the car for us as it was at the repair shop (which didn't charge us for this?!). Gobsmacked. I believe they take advantage of clients, specifically those who've been in accidents as you're in a tight spot and have to make split-second decisions. A quick internet search (which I wish we'd done before doing business with this company) revealed that our experience matches that of another client (see Hello Peter review from 2016) so looks like this is how they run their business. This is daylight robbery and they need to be reported to the ombudsman.

My car broke down yesterday on my way home. Cape Road Assist was at my side with 30 minutes, loaded my car, dropped me off at home and had it delivered to my mechanic. Good attitude from the driver and exceptional service.
