n the 80's and 90's I visited the Cape St Francis Resort often but have not been there for quite a few years. We did an overnight stop over there recently and wished that that we had spent much more time there. The chalet was neat and had all the equipment needed for an extended stay and all equipment worked as it should. A walk on the clean long beach was a welcome relax from travelling. The restaurant served an excellent breakfast (try the French toast and figs!!) and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Our only gripe was that reception told us the restaurant was open to 22H00 and we then found that the kitchen closed at 19H00. But this led to a drive to St. Francis Bay and an excellent meal at Christy's Seafood Grill (recommended.)

I stay on this resort from April 2017 till October 2017. We rent a place at first everything seems good and in perfect order. Like normally when you rent a place you report all the defects. I report it nothing happened. You will ask what defects in a paradise like Cape St Francis Resort. 1 ) The storage of the pipe that they clean the drains with was under the stairs of the unit. The place was smelly , real bad. It was terrible. What’s the health risk of something like this ? 2 ) The staff didn’t clean the unit, but everyday on a regular basis things disappeared out of the unit. Food, groceries, expensive wallets- Polo and J&H value R 3000,00 each. Jewelry disappeared R 20 000,00 gold chain with pendant, who will replace it? 3 ) Nothing was repaired , taps leaking, water running out of the toilets, ants everywhere ( when we moved in ) toilets leaking at the bottom, floors always wet with the water? And if it rain, water streaming through the roof damage clothes, linens, shoes and handbags. The value of this damages R 30 000,00. Mold grows on the roof and also on the walls of the unit. 4 ) Noise terrible tradisional parties with load drums very noisy mostly over weekends but also happened during the week. 5 ) Security told me they was instructed to enter the apartment where we stay , without a court order. This is a total different experience , health risk, theft, invasion of privacy. Be careful to judge a book by it’s cover, read it first.
