Dear Law Society,
I am writing to report an incident involving Tashriq Ahmed, who charged me R17000 on 16th April 2024 to handle my cousin Zeeshan Rafiq's case. Zeeshan was arrested at Refugee Home Affairs in Cape Town and someone recommended Tashriq Ahmed's services to us. However, I later found out that Tashriq Ahmed had been suspended in November 2023 and failed to show up for the court date.
When I asked him to refund my money due to his lack of professional services, he began threatening me. In response, I reported his behavior on Hellopeter for his unprofessionalism and mistreatment of clients. Now he is threatening legal action against me, claiming that his career has been ruined because of my actions.
Given that Tashriq Ahmed was already involved in ********* practices prior to this incident, it raises concerns about why he is still allowed to practice law after being suspended. He has a history of providing *****ulent documents and overcharging clients before deporting them.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter further and take appropriate action against Tashriq Ahmed for his misconduct. It is important to protect the rights of individuals seeking legal assistance from such dishonest practitioners.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely, Asif Khan
