As a small business owner in the tourism industry, I made the mistake of advertising with Cape Town Tourism. I signed up for a year in 2020 at quite an expensive monthly fee. For the first 3 weeks, they didn't manage to put my business on their website (one of the main services). The services were also supposed to include my brochures to be displayed in three different Cape Town Tourism offices. During the first few months they did not display the brochures in the central Cape Town office, with the excuse that they are moving location (which never happened). Then Covid broke out and all the offices closed, without me paying any less for the services. At the end of my contract, I wanted to get my brochures back from them, which cost a lot of money and was never displayed. But they "didn't have any". I contacted several different people, tried for months to find my brochures, but they simply said they don't have them and afterwards ignored all e-mails from me. I have given up on retrieving my brochures, but I will never try to advertise with them again. Terrible service and not one single client came from them. Even though my contract started in 2019 December, the busiest month for tourism in Cape Town. Terrible experience. Non-existent service. Just stay away.

Went into CT tourism branch in city centre and my word are the ladies unfriendly. Came in and was received by 2 ladies, one with half a smile and the other with no smile at all. The lady with no smile proceeded to assist us after reluctantly agreeing who will help us. During the whole procedure of getting a green card not once has the lady smiled or given friendly service. Looked more like she was forced to work. Wow, if this is the faces of our tourism in Cape Town then things are looking bleak. No wonder the industry is struggling if Cape Town tourism can't even train their staff properly. Don't expect a response to this as the service is overall ****. Beware visitors

Went into cape town tourism to get a wild card and one was issued to my hubby as i could not get one due to not having any proof of address and was informed that i needed to then have an affidavit saying i live with my husband- fair enough. Meanwhile while filling out my form for when i do go through all the necessary channels inorder to receive a card for myself, i look over to the guy next to me and the same person helping me helps him that wants an activity wildcard but then he never had the people with him to sign the forms and they needed to be there and then this shumera womens says its okay he should just fill out the forms and looks to me very guilty of maybe making an exception for him later when i had left which is very unprofessional and which i picked up and did not like at all! Later the manager phones my hubby to say that i never looked happy because i havent been issued a card and they need proof blah blah blah. Uhm hi manager, i was not upset for not getting a card, i was PISSED off! Due to the fact that your staff memeber knew she was in the wrong thats why she could tell you a one sided story! And when my husband wanted to explain our side, manager put down the ph
