Cape DSTV Installers Stole my DSTV Dish and Refuse to Return it
This company came to my house. Told me that my Dish is incompatible with my device. They then charged me R2500 for a new dish and then proceeded to steal the old one. I am in a rental home. That dish is not mine. I have tried unsuccessfully for 2 months to get my dish back and I just get met with empty promises. I am also now convinced that they lied to me about the incompatibility issues because of their lack of integrity.

Overcharged by DSTv Installer
Bad experience of Smart Satellite- accredited installer of Multichoice. I called for help when decoder showed E-43 error. They charged me callout and setup (R450 + R650)fees. They charged me R599.00 for Diaplexer combiner, this item retails for less than R100.All this work was done within 1 hour. All other industries (plumbing, pools, electrical, etc) that charge callout also offer free service for the first hour excluding material if used, not this unscrupulous installer. They used my personal phone to communicate with Multi-choice which also took a while as one of the decoders struggled to take commands remotely. This is day light robbery! Never again SMART SATELLITE!!!

Utterly poor service! The installation was badly done - four guys came for the same installation. Only 4 channels are showing. The cabling was badly done. When I called Franky the next day he promised to come and fix it. Next thing his phone is off. The manager Calvin promised he would come and fix it himself. He also didn't pitch, when I called him he just puts the phone down on me. What kind of poor service is this? Must I now pay someone to fix your mess? Calvin says to me they are busy. My question is this - if you are so busy, why did you agree to take the job in the first place knowing you will not deliver a professional service? Unbelievable!
