I have worked for the company for more than 5 years and am struggling to get a hold of owners or management to provide me with UI19 form. Its like the company never existed. nice day Peter, Please take note that I leased a car from Capital Car Hire on September 24th for a period of six days. The car was delivered back in fine shape. After 14 working days, or on Saturday, the corporation was meant to reimburse my money. I contacted them last Wednesday just to remind them because I was worried because it had been nine days and nothing had changed. I requested an update in a professional email on Friday. The manager just stated in CAPS, Monday will see your payment. I have not yet gotten my money. They own the 7 to 14 day return policy, thus they must abide by it. Please lend a hand They don't even care to update or let me know if they're having problems, thus I need my money refunded immediately. Adishkar Ramkissoon, the general manager, is quite nasty, yet the staff in the Durban offices provided me with the best service ever.

This is a pathetic service provider in Durban under the flagship of car hire. A car was returned and declared compliant after thorough inspection by the staff member and the driver (borrower). They refused to give us the carbon copy of the inspection and today Previn sends us a message telling us they want to use our money to fix the car for a scratch we did not have anything to do with. It is an apparent practice that small time car hiring service providers claim to find post dents after their drivers who wash the vehicles damage the vehicles and the want to claim this on previous unassuming borrowers of vehicles. They reserved R7000 from my bank account and do not want to return it and they’ve always known about this dent but want to get their hands on our money. Please refrain from using these criminals no matter how desperate you are.

Worst place to rent a car! Must be some government sponsored bee company. Sure they will be out of business soon. Way over priced and not market related to any other car hiring company. They have excess of R20000 for scratch, accident, theft… not market related. Still waiting for my deposit to be paid back, R17000 and its a month later. There branches are falling apart, not even the lettering is straight on the wall or same style. Their logo looks like a country emblem… worst place to rent a car. The staff are not competent, not friendly, not helpful, really feels like home affairs or similar. Stay away!!!

The company is so bad, you will regret taking their car. I have been struggling to get back my deposit. You will call, they will never answer phones and never get back to you. Still havent received my R8000 deposit

These guys really surprised me with their fantastic service. I had initially booked a car via Woodford Car Hire at King Shaka International Airport but, due to the terrible service that I received, I was forced to find an alternative. This was a very busy morning and most "famous" rental companies were unable to assist. I work in Marketing and when I walked into Capital Car Hire the first time, I immediately walked out again. The branding and decor did not instill confidence and trust. Every other car rental company had rented out all their cars so, I had no choice but to take what I saw to be a risk and see if Capital Car Hire could assist me. And boy was it a case of not judging a book by its cover. They were very helpful. All their cars were booked out but, they had a brand new one on the way and assigned it to me. When I say brand new, I mean that we removed the plastic from the seat and body panels before we got in to drive off. Upon return they were quick and efficient. They also returned my deposit faster than their standard time frame. It was a pleasure using them and I'll definitely use them again in future.

I have been reading all the reviews from other people and it breaks my heart to see this fraudulent is still taking place, I will be wasting my time writing my experience with this so called capital car hire. I will suggest people to stay away from these fraudsters!!
