We can highly recommend the salesmen, Marius van der Merwe, at Cargo Motors Bedfordview. We bought a car from him purely over WhatsApp. He was able to seamlessly support our shift between channels being WhatsApp, email and phone calls. He really went out of his way to make the purchasing of the car super easy. He even delivered it personally to our home! Literally a week later, we decided to trade in our one car and buy another one and of course, Marius was our first call. The purchasing of the 2nd car and the managing of the trade-in was just as easy as the first one. Thank you Marius for the passion and pride you display for your company, your job and your customers.

I scheduled my service over the phone. Reception refuses to service my car because it does not meet the requirements. How does reception have the authority to deny a customer's request? This absurd to my knowledge that all requests are being handled by reception not "Subject Expect" perhaps mechanic

I was dealing with Marius Van Der Merwe since June 2021 and decided on concluding a deal on a Motor vehicle which a Deposit was Paid and an OTP was signed. The Finance Contract was signed with the Financier and I was Shocked to receive a Wattsapp Voice Note from Marius Van Der Merwe saying that he had to sell the vehicle. The contract was between my Financier and Myself once the Finance process was Finalised. The service is received from Marius was poor from the very onset when I was first contacted by Him. There was a sense of desperation in terms of his sales approach as he was very pushy and not assertive enough, I had a feeling he did not want to assist me from the Onset. Even the Financiers agreed that it is unethical and not professional to Sell a Vehicle once there is a Deposit and OTP pending. I received serveral Wattsapp Voicenotes from Marius leaving messages which is very unprofessional especially with the reliability of our Cell Phone and Network Providers. The only emails i received from Marius was the OTP and confirmation of the Deposit. This day in age all communication is professional especially when email exists where it is important to have all communication documented. I had not received a phone call from Marius or his Manager/s explaining the reasons for breaching the contract I had with Them. I had not received a call or email regarding the Refund of my deposit until I after he wattsapped me I cannot collect the vehicle as he has sold it. A Sales Person of High Caliber would be capable of convincing me to purchase an alternate vehicle , however he did not even explain or try selling me another vehicle. I have documented all emails etc as I will escalate this kind of practice thats not Professional.

We took our car (dodge journey) in as it has a jerking problem when you drive or feels like it will cut off when you stop, the advisers at Jeep said the car needed a major service to sort out the problem, when given a quote of R16000+ for the work to be done, I explained that the quote is expensive for me and ask Christa if that will really solve the problem? She said yes it will and even went on to say if it does not solve the problem I will be paid back the service fee. I then gave her a go ahead because I really wanted the problem to be solved. To my surprise on the same day I took back the car the problem was still there we notified the dealer and I was asked to bring it back in. Now I'm being told that I must pay an extra R5000+ for something else that is now apparently causing the problem. This is so unfair for me as I was not ready financially to take my car in for a service but only agreed to it because I was told it will solve the problem.

Originally approached Cargo Edenvale as they are listed as Alfa Romeo dealers. The Blue-me had to be replaced and we had to pay for the part to allow them to order it from their supplier. We were phoned after +- weeks to say that the part arrived. When it was fitted it was found to be faulty, they then re-fitted the original and we were told that we will be advised when the new one arrives. Beginning December we were told that the replacement part has arrived and the car was booked in for the 10th. Since then we have had very little joy out of them. After fitting the new part the car now apparently developed a misfire and according to them a test revealed that one piston was down on compression. Needles to say the car was driven into their workshop and there was no loss of power and or misfiring. Subsequently gave them the go-ahead to send the head through to an Engineering department. Followed up beginning of January 2020 and spoke to their W/shop manager after being told that it is not back from Engineering as yet. He gave me an undertaking that the head would be back on 21 Jan 2020 and they will start re-assembling and the car should be ready for collection on 28th. He also undertook to provide me with an update by the 23rd and this did not happen. I do not expect them to respond to this post, as I have seen no responses on previous posts from other complaints lodged against them, which really shows how much Customer Service means to them. It makes their company motto of Customers being part of the family sound like a sick joke. If you own an Alfa please do not take it to them. It is dealers like this that do more damage to a brand name and honestly if they do not have the expertise on site, they should rather sell bicycles.

Such pathetic service from this dealership, they might as well close down really. No update on status of my vehicle now they come back and say all is good with my car after it lost power. I will sue the day lights out of them if this problems recurr because then they clearly they dont know anything about fixing cars. To top it off they couldn't even give me a courtesy car how pathetic.
