Scam. Totally not customer orientated business. Terms&Conditions of the services are placing customers in unfavourable position. Customer support is the worst I have experienced in my life, doesn't even try to help out and make no efforts to resolve the issue. All they care is money, so don't even hope for any kind of refund if something goes wrong. -10 out of 10. It will be probably easier for you to hitchhike than rent a car using this awful service provider.

My partner rented a Toyota for 10 days. After a day his plans have changed and he needs the car for three days only. CarRentals.com now won't issue a refund for the 7 days whereas most other car rentals do albeit at a higher cost for each of the 3 days. This is a ripoff and breach of contract if compared to a year ago. WE WANT A REFUND FOR THE 7 DAYS, or I will without hesitation, take this matter further!!!. Really DISGRACEFUL service from CarRentals.com

what a scam, I booked a car online only to realize that the car hires place does not take debit cards instead of credit cards, been trying to email them and all their emails do not go through kept on bounsing. please in what ever you do please do not use this website they are proper scammers.

This company is a total scam. I booked a rental car via booking.com and paid R3292 instantly. When I got to Europcar the next day to fetch the car my credit card was declined. I had to use another car rental company. My money was not refunded. Then I contacted their angecy only to find it was Car Rentals not Booking.com. Then finally i managed to get Car Rentals contact details, i told them i needed my refund and they refused to pay me back they said I should wait for 14 days then i can open a case.. i did exactly as told. Today one of their stuff calls and tell me that I have forfeited my money cos I called late. I want my money please .

I wish I could give them negative stars. They conveniently hide the R13 500 deposit on with fine print on their T and Cs one has to pay before picking a rental. This is why they require a payment before you pick up the car because they know that's when most people find out of the R13 500 deposit and will cancel and be penalized 3 day booking penalty. Under handed tactics specialists. I will never ever use these people again. It was my first and last time. Please don't make that mistake.

Rentalcars.com I rented a via rentalcars .com at Hertz. When I arrived at Hertz desk at OR Tambo International, I was told that I don't meet their requirements to rent from them, therefore rentalcars.com must refund me the pre-payment I made to them, they as Hertz they don't get involved. It is a hussel to get hold of Carrentals.com over the phone, once you get hold of them they are rude and not helpful. I just want me money back from these two companies.

I booked a car with Budget Rent A Car, through Carrentals.com. Six month later I’m still waiting for my refund. Contacted Carrentals.com for help in reviving my money, lots of promises but no money.

We paid a deposit for car rental (Dec 2019). Upon return of the vehicle the administrator of your company was unable to assist with the refund because the card machine was faulty. The administrator said that the funds would be deposited back into our account. To date this has not been attended to (May 2020). Six attempts to communicate with the company have been made with no assistance received, only several reference numbers sent to us via email.
