Horrible experience
Had a really horrible experience. To some extent they are classist.There were tables that were receiving proper service whilst we were made to feel like we’re perhaps there to receive a free meal. The first red flag was when we got to the restaurant there was no table number under our booking, whilst our booking was confirmed. We were ushered to to dine at the main dining hall when we’ve reserved the veranda. All tables got water except ours. We had to call a waiter to get the menu. We couldn’t even enjoy our meal due to amount of flies around the restaurant.Would never recommend them to anyone.

Mouldy cheesecake no apology.
On Sunday 14th Sept. I was invited to join my son and his wife for lunch at Casalinga. They chose the restaurant because of a previous visit which they enjoyed immensely. I ordered a pizza as a main course . When the mains arrived my pizza did not. The waiter was very apologetic and went to locate it. It took 20 mins for the pizza to arrive , half cooked. By that time everyone had eaten their cold food as it was obvious my pizza was taking time and they couldn't wait any longer. For dessert I ordered a lemon and lime cheesecake. The cheesecake tasted off and I saw there was mould on the crust and in the cheesecake. The waiter was very apologetic and horrified. The item was removed from the bill. HOWEVER not one member of management came to apologise. I did leave my phone number to be contacted but no courtesy call has been offered.

Casalinga - always good
A group of 8 of us had the seafood platters. They were great. The service was excellent, Hettie is a great organiser and our waiter was also attentive. The setting is neautiful with views over the extensive garden. We haven't been to Casalinga for a couple of years. It's always been good and nothing has changed.

Wedding food drama
DO NOT BOOK CASALINGA FOR YOUR WEDDING!!!! We had the most horrendous wedding experience with Casalinga Organic Farm. We paid upfront per person for our wedding food. The menu included starters whereby guests could choose an option and get 3 small plates per option chosen (mini platter). We had even paid for a food tasting (before the wedding date) whereby the food provided to us would be food for our wedding day. On the evening of the wedding (4 December 2021), guests did not receive the 3 plates. Instead, they received one plate of the mini platter. Guests complained to us after the wedding that the menu (which is Casalinga's event menu) did not materialize. I.e. they did not receive all the platters. Instead, they received a tiny plate as starters. The last thing you want is your guests leaving hungry. Casalinga has refused to take accountability for this. They have not refunded us and downright refused this even though all our guests can vouch as witnesses. We have been waiting 8 months for this to be resolved. I am disgusted by this type of "service". If you are considering using Casalinga as your wedding venue - please look elsewhere!

Good service Moda Restaurant food is great. Good service as well.
great find and I love that it's hidden away. the place has been going for years and what I love is that it's consistent. Given that they tend to overcook the pasta a bit. Ingredients are always fresh and the pizza is great. from Starters right through to desert. Very yummy delicious soul food. Highly recommend this restaurant.

No customer or consideration for guests
So after a bad experience with our sleep over. I complained about the party venue - situated right next door to accommodation rooms. You simply cannot be so inconsiderate to your guests. I was then penalized further for complaining about my bad experience.

Extremely disappointed
After a much needed quiet time away.. We were shocked in the afternoon that management had double booked us with a 21st birthday party right on our doorstep. How inconsiderate and dishonest. Had we known we would gave gladly postponed to a time when no parties were on. How can you have your accommodation rooms right next to your party venue? Very disappointing indeed. A waste of our time and money.

Bad service & ignoring complaint.
This USE to be a go to place for good food and service. Unfortunately I have been let down. I have also sent in a complaint on the 30th of August. I think 2 weeks response time is more than generous to get feedback on a complaint. Yet U have had no feedback to my complaint. I expect a LOT more from a premium restaurant.
