I sent my Macbook (2016 Macbook Pro Touchbar) to Cash4Macs for repairs, dealt directly with Lawrence. Lawrence asked me for additional payments for repairs up to total R8000. The laptop was not repaired, even after many queries I was told it was still in repairs. I eventually fetched the laptop myself after Lawrence failed to deliver as promised. The Ts&Cs of Cash4Mac protects the Customers that if the repairs are not done I get a refund. Larence failed to pay the refund. Chas4Macs seem to have scavenged my laptop for parts, the 1TB hard drive missing, the battery looks like it was tampered with. This is ********* behaviour. Cannot trust these guys

No cash for Macs!
Just a reminder to everyone who is thinking of selling their old MacBook to first read the reviews for Cash4Macs… I was one of many to have been scammed out of cash for two of my Macbooks. In my case I was told a long story about how their shop was broken into and my two laptops which I’d handed over to them were stolen (but given no police case number or details for insurance) and they had no money to pay. This happened a while ago, but I see its still happening. Items are taken and not paid for, and the issues remain unresolved. Thought of Lawrence again today when I was thinking of selling my current Mac, and was reminded again not to go to ‘No Cash4Macs’.

No cash for Macs!

Excellent Service from Cash4Macs
Been repairing our Apple devices with Cash4macs for the past 5 years. It’s amazing how much money you have saved us over the years. I’m glad you survived the difficult periods and I was more than willing to give you guys a review.

Excellent Service from Cash4Macs

Lawrence Ndlovu the scammer
Worst service I have ever experience , I took my MacBook Pro late 13 15" i7 to Lawrence Ndlovu at "Cash 4 Mac Hillcrest branch "for a screen replacement . The device was paid for and sent in on this date 30/03/2019 invoice no 1818 . After a dispute with his supplier and the wrong display was bought and the correct screen was bought but did not work on my device which was after chasing him for updates. Fast forward a year later i requested a refund and I'm still waiting. it's now 2021 and I'm getting ignored on text.I wouldn't recommend anyone send their devices to Cash4Macs Hillcrest Lawrence Ndlovu is a **** fraud his a scammer. Don't waste your time or money.

Lawrence Ndlovu is a liar and fraudster. You're probably buying stolen goods.
Scammed me out of R14000 in August 2018. They received my 2 MacBooks when I was on the way out of the country. Knowing this, this Lawrence Ndlovu simply never made payment. I was back in the country a year ago and managed to get him on the phone; but no payment. Not then, not ever. It makes you wonder how many of the Macs he sells have been stolen, like mine were. After posting my first review on this site he paid me some (a small minority) of the monies he owed me to remove the review. Since then he has strung me along and not kept me updated at all.
