Given the millions of unemployed citizens in RSA, you would think that recruitment companies go the extra mile to place candidates since it is from this that they earn revenue and commissions. Placing false job ads merely to entice potential candidates to respond, and then taking the "low hanging fruit" from these and try to place them with any employer who will take the recruiters calls is shameful and dehumanizing for all of those unemployed !! One because no such job prospect exists and two because the candidate wastes their time submitting countless job applications from which they receive ZERO responses. Both of which are no fault of the candidate. I think that it is high time that the advertising standards and ethics boards if any exists, as well as the consumer protection ombudsman, took an interest in this sector and better regulated the misleading advertising that we as candidates are subjected to daily. Every time one calls a recruiter re their advert, one is informed that the job has already been filled, yet the expiry date for submissions on the advert is 3 or 4 weeks in the future? Stop BS those very same people that put food on your table daily and have some back bone and consideration for the mental and emotional state of ALL unemployed candidates out there, who unlike your recruiters is not working and earning any income !! Cassel and Co. including many of the long serving companies in this sector should do some serious introspection, with regards to their self serving practises and interest. PATHETIC SERVICE !!!!
