My wife wanted to use their product for our kitchen floor. We bought all the material needed and used their contractors who apparently did their showroom floor in Rosebank. The finished product looked ok, but soon we noticed scratches everywhere. Then chips. I just wished that they had explained properly that the finish would scuff this badly, especially as we have pets. I would expect some wear and tear but not this quickly and severely. My wife declined to contact them to complain, our money is gone and we now will spend more money to use vinyl. Only use this product in low traffic areas and not if you have pets.

Excited for a renovation project and seeing the cemcrete results at someone else's house, we wanted to go this route. Despite 5 sets of friends in the span of a month telling us to beware (Gauteng x 3, WC x 2) we stubbornly persisted. Almost a 100sqm. What a dogshow this turned out to be. Scratches like nothing you've seen, chips easily, rubber leaving marks, dents like crazy. The worst part of our renovation (and we have some shockers). My complaint is mainly down to 3 things: 1) Little to none professional advice in preparation and nothing in writing through a contractor. Understand this, EVERYTHING about this comes down the sub-level hardness, but this is not communicated officially and leaves the company free from obligations and just pointing fingers at the sub-level. It's a gamble. If it works then great. If it doesn't the company have so far just seemed willing to worm their way out of it with their process making it easy to blame others. (This was over a year ago, with some engagement back and forth since then but same result...how can we blame others)

Chemcrete and the recommended service teams are all ****s! Just read the reviews! Stay away from chemcrete!! No one takes responsibility, die applicators blame the product and chemcrete itself will blame you, your foundation, their T's and C's. Absolutely no accountability from them! They stuff up and you will sit with a horrible bathroom ect! Decorative cement, De wet! What poor unskilled service every time we mentioned something he just blamed chemcrete "they wont admit their product is faulty and wont refund him so he is sorry he cant carry the cost to fix our problem" we did 2 full bathrooms. We even drove to the centurion chemcrete branch and they said according to our photos its poor workmanship. Just a blame game! I wish i could post photos to warm people about chemcrete! Its both parties! What happend to good service? Accountability?? No you pay and what you get is your problem! Pathetic companies!! Stay away! They fish you in with beautiful modern photos and wonderfull everlasting product! No of that is true! They are ****mers this is just a get rich quick product that wont last! The chemcrete is chipping off the sides of our bath's not even 3 months after application and the blame game starts! Of this was a well established company / product / skille recommended contractors they would care more and try fix the issue! But chemcrete and crew just blame each other or you!! When doing the quote and checking your home, no mention off issues! Till they are done! Then chemcrete will blame your home or the contractor, the contractor will blame chemcrete, sorry chemcrete wont refund the product to the contractor and the contractor says sorry i cant afford to redo on my cost. And there you sit... fully tiled bathroom redone ceiling to floor with chemcrete and it looks like a horror show, cracks, chipped walls, chemcrete cracking around the bath, finger print marks, water marks, wrong sealent used (creative cement again blames chemcrete) but we have to just accept it. Sorry né, maybe next time. Pathetic

I had my pool redone in September 2023, with the old fibreglass capsule removed and PoolCrete used to renew it. In July 2024, I lodged a complaint, and to this day, I have not received any resolution—only empty promises. If I could give less than a star, I would. The contractor assured me of a multi-year warranty, yet less than a year later, cracks have appeared. After countless calls and messages, the contractor finally arrived and claimed that a Cemcrete representative would assess the issue—but unsurprisingly, that never happened. Six months, hundreds of messages, and endless frustration later, all I’ve received are excuses. Meanwhile, Spring and Summer have come and gone, and I still haven’t been able to use my pool. To anyone considering Cemcrete: Stay far away. Their so-called "support" is nothing but empty words, and their contractors do not stand by their work. Unless you’re prepared to fight daily just to sometimes get a response, avoid this product at all costs. Paying over R30K for a pool renovation that has left it in a worse condition—with no assistance—is beyond unacceptable. Cemcrete, are you proud of this? Of taking people’s hard-earned money and then turning your back when things go wrong? Your silence speaks volumes. South Africans used to take pride in their work and the products they represented. Sadly, that value system seems lost today. It’s not just about the money; it’s about integrity, accountability, and respect for customers—none of which seem to matter anymore.

On initial application the floor had to be redone twice because either the colours in different sections didn't match or because of unsightly spots. After less than 6 months the floors started cracking and we were made to pay the cost of materials to redo it. Terrible product and aesthetically also not what we were expecting.

Hi. Had my full bathroom finished with Cemecrete. Had a frameless shower installed. The gap between the glass and finished wall seal with alcolin clear silicone (Standard Practice). There was some sort or reaction resulting in the silicone shrinking causing the finish to peel off the wall. Fortunately, the contractor was willing to repair the issue however Cemecrete was not willing to assist with providing a solution on how I should seal this gap between the glass and finished wall. The product is very temperamental with most other polymers used in standard bathroom products. My overall opinion, the product looks nice but is not a very practical finish its ideal for houses that people do not live in or show rooms.

I purchased RenoCrete & PoolCrete from Cemcrete in Montague Gardens, for my new pool & pond. I purchased extra bags to ensure I did not run out. I received such friendly service and advice from Penny Vice and the sales team. They also refunded me the unused stock that I returned. The Cemcrete products are excellent, the sales team are friendly & professional and I would thoroughly recommend Cemcrete. Thank you kindly.

My complaint is mainly down to 3 things: 1) Little to none professional advice in preparation. How hard should the floor be, etc. For something so critical. 2) Once I discussed with the contractor, all they could do was to try and find ways to to blame everyone else and using backward logic to try and prove a point. "It wasn't me". 3) A few emails later I am still patiently waiting for a response. Looked at some photos and found the nearest exit to 'it wasn't me'. No commitment to follow through. I paid a lot of money for this and they have left me incredibly angry (beyond simply disappointed) with making me feel like the villain and having to prove something that I won't be able to.
