CENTRAFIN ABUSE
My workshop signed a rental agreement with ME Systems, ceded to Centrafin. The term was for 5 years, ending October 2024. They never communicated that the term has ended, continuing to charge the same amount without any communication, based on some small wording at the back of the rental agreement. When I queried Centrafin, they said it is not their duty to inform me, and that because it is a Company with more than R2m turnover, I am not covered by The CPA act which would require them to notify me. They also charged me R446 a month for insurance which I was already covered for, the agreement read they might ask me for proof of insurance, but never did. Now they want three months cancellation, as well as threatening to blacklist my company and me individually after faithfully paying every installment for 65 months.

<div>CENTRAFIN We initially concluded an agreement with this company for the supply/financing of a telephone system at an agreed monthly rate. Our telephone systems stopped working and we were left having no functioning system. Clients could therefore not reach our office. Despite our continuous correspondence, the situation persisted. Centrafin however continued to charge us for the full monthly rental amount for the telephones despite being unable to deliver their product and service as initially agreed to between the parties. We deemed this as a repudiation of the agreement on their part as they could no longer deliver for what we paid for. Centrafin then requested that they are going to collect the equipment. Accordingly, we stopped with payments to them. Centrafin, despite them being fully aware of the situation continued to, on a daily and weekly basis, request payment by sending emails, WhatsApp messages and contacting us telephonically, to a point where it bordered on harassment. Centrafin then went as far as to ********ly and without approaching the court or obtaining judgment herein, blacklist the company as well as the director. Take note that it was never pointed out and/or explained that a surety would be involved in this matter. This blacklisting can affect any company and/or individual detrimentally, yet Centrafin did not hesitate to take this action against one of their clients. From the inception of the matter it was our aim to find a solution, Centrafin was however never interested in same and chose to proceed with their narrow-minded approach to demand payment and threatened us on a weekly basis. Centrafin unnecessarily ****** us of a lot of our time by dealing with their abundance of emails and calls. We now also need to endeavor to remove our names from the ******** blacklisting. We most certainly would not recommend this Company as their way of doing business is unacceptable. They do not treat their clients with any respect and have no intention of resolving a problem amicably between the parties.</div>

Centrafin debiting post duration of contract
Centrafin are a finance house that allows Small Business to obtain financing to purchase equipment necessary to function, this financing is at a premium. Once the term of the financed contract comes to an end, Centrafin continue to debit and charge the client , up until , the client cancels the contract, even though the term has come to an end. In our case, our 60 month contract was ended, we had paid up the finance loan and interest for the PBX purchased. They continued to debit our account, on review they told us we had not sent a letter to them saying that the contract was ended. Centrafin had also not followed due diligence and sent any notification or tried to get hold of the client ( appears as if it is in their best interest not to inform the client and get a few extra months of debit orders ) Once we had sent the letter of termination they then demanded the outstanding amounts that they deemed were "due" post the 60 month contract agreement, and demanded the return of the equipment. The Equipment has been returned to their warehouse and termination information was sent to them. They still continued to debit the client account. The client blocked all debits from them at the bank, and they have now lodged the client for black listing.
