They are the worst property managers in the Country, with all the new "Estate's" coming up, they cut corners with cheap buildings and cheap secuirty. Dont live at any of their complex's or estate's, they are over prices and dont give two ****s about the people that live their, they always blame it on the people who manage the complex, but they are just as faulty.

My son is an NSFAS beneficiary who app**** for accommodation on the NSFAS portal at SIXTH ON STATION in East london. It was approved and we even sent an email to Glenda, who advised that a room number will be sent on monday 20/01/2025. I followed up today and there was no response. when we checked the portal we found that the application was cancelled. we did everything on the 15th after my son registered at Walter Sisulu university, we then relaxed because we thought that accommodation is sorted out. if we did not check with NSFAS what was going to happen to my son ? He will be travelling from Johannesburg to east london we do not know anyone there, but you treat us this way. Or priority goes to students who will be paying for their accommodation? if so why are you with NSFAS? this very unacceptable and very unprofessional, and very *********. why accept the application and then cancel it without communication?

I sent an email requesting for information to info@century.co.za and my email was deleted before it was even read. This is not only rude and condescending, it is also not a professional way to deal with emails. I received a reply from nazeema@century.co.za saying the message was deleted. I emailed this email address raising by concerns and unhappiness at how I was treated and received no response, hence my decision to put this on Hellopeter

I have an issue with the financial administration at The Campus Student Accommodation in Auckland Park. I paid a deposit of R20000 so that I can move in but when I had to move in they told me I have to pay half the annual amount before I can move in. I told them I can’t so I want a refund back. It’s been a month now trying to get hold of their finance department, I have called and email both Shamima Omar and Hillary Modise but they don’t answer any emails or calls. I sent my proof of payment and bank statement as they requested but nothing has been done. Last week Monday ( 6 March 2023 ) I got a chance to get Shimama Omar and she told me that they will refund me by the end of the week but I’m still waiting even today. Hillary does not respond at all and she sent me an invoice for February which is invalid because I’m not a tenant , they didn’t allow me to move in at The Campus student accommodation .I really need that money since well I’m a cash student and I need to pay my new accommodation and buy groceries. My reference number is C2082B. Please intervene and help a student who is need, I need my R20000 back as soon as possible.

After visiting Sagewood Lifestyle Apartments for viewing, I was unable to because the estate manager refused to answer his/her phone. The security guards could not even go knock and see if they were home or not. Apparently they ran the risk of losing their jobs if they did that. Office hours are 9am - 5pm daily and I made it to their offices well within time however I did not get a chance to view any of their properties. I can't imagine what would happen if I was a tenant and I needed to report something. Such horrible service. Having traveled so many kilometers just to be here and not be able to see anything. I wish I knew the estate manager's name so I can expose them for not being available during office hours. It's because of people like you that companies get bad reps. There's a very high unemployment rate in South Africa, if you don't respect your job just quit and allow someone who actually wants a job to be given an opportunity.

I need to bring to your attention that Century Property Developments and their subsidiary, Houss.co.za is currently squatting all over your site. If you run a search in ANY suburb on the western side of the N1, they advertise 10,000 of their units, each under a different suburb, such as Lonehill, Dainfern, Pineslopes, Kyalami, Crowthorne, Fourways Gardens, and the list goes on. It is littering the whole site with one complex that was erected in Riversands, next to Diepsloot on the R511, then it is misrepresented in all their adverti*****ts, as being in a suburb that it is not even NEAR, and that the units are available at advertised price, when in fact, no such units for rental prices advertised actually exist in the complex, known as The Parks. Once you enquire, or show interest, they invite you for a viewing, then take you straight to the show units, which has been standing for many years now. They refuse to let their prospective tenants of this "rental only" complex choose an available unit, until they do credit checks and approve your application. This is not to say that a unit of your choice even exists at any time in the complex, they just add a hard inquiry in your credit record for nill. They KNOW they can't deliver on the units as advertised for the prices as advertised, yet ALL my search results return with ONLY units for The Parks in every ******* suburb of the north. When I actually was approved for a top-floor, 2-bedroom unit, I was quickly told that there are none available. (What is the ****** point of the application then) - they convinced me that they would find me the perfect unit, and after going to the rental office and complex for the 6th time, and having been coerced into paying the lease administration fee before I could now choose a unit, not in my size or location, or at the monthly rental cost advertised, I severed all ties with these unscrupulous and desperate rental agents that lie, manipulate and basically have now stolen R1000 from me because I am not interested in living in what they simply had left for occupation at R1200 more per month, and not to my requested specifications. If you ask for a 2 bedroom top-floor unit, at a monthly cost of R6800, and they assure you they have MANY OF THOSE STILL AVAILABLE, yet after being shunted back and forth, they show you a 1st floor 3 bedroom unit for R8400 per month. When you insist on them finding the correct unit as per your request and for which you were approved during the application process, then they come up with the idea of paying the "lease administration fee of R1000 and they will make sure you find your perfect unit" - what a load of horse-manure! As far as I know, administration fees are not charged upfront if you have not even selected an apartment, or the one you were vetted for is taken, or whatever the case may be, and no lease and/or agreement has been entered into between Houss / Century and the tenant, not even verbally, they cannot insist on you paying R1000 to basically view available units and then tell you "Sorry no, your luck is out" then keep the cash. I later decided to make contact with these losers and when phoning the number listed for Century Property Developments, a very obnoxious and rude lady who refused to identify herself, answered the phone and started screaming that I will not be refunded if I made an application and I can go to hell. Very unprofessional, misinformed and appalling behaviour for a woman. I have the conversation between herself and my attorney on WhatsApp in writing, which I can gladly supply and make public if requested, where she is so misguided, telling my attorney that I am not the tenant, but in fact, my girlfriend is, and that we have already moved in the day before... Now, firstly, I am gay and I do not have a girlfriend nor do I know anyone that is even a tenant in that place. Secondly, I have most definitely NOT taken occupation of any of their disgusting units at ANY time and this woman must have been slamming crystal or chasing the dragon because she was, for lack of a better word, delusional. Completely off her rocker and so agressive that I have actually opened a civil case against them, to claim my R1000 in small clams court, but they REFUSE to provide an address or location where the summons can be served. All of this is just a picture of what I experienced in person, and now that I am househunting on Property24 again, where I usually found quality results and correctly listed ones at that, it is now littered with this Parks units that each and every agent that works for Houss places on the site under a different suburb. The actual available properties are covered in layers of Parks units and difficult to filter out, because all you get is listing after listing after listing for the Parks that sits in a different suburb with a different address in every ad. It is ludicrous and frustrating to be dealing with such madness now and the fact that they are even destroying quality search engines like Property24 and related listings, is disgusting. They are so desperate that they are acting with flagrant disregard for the terms of service and also unethically at that, for placing 98 ads for the same complex, that I have found in ONE VERY REFINED set of results after conducting a search. Could you kindly reprimand and remove century property developments and houss listings from your site in the interim so the public can again actually find a place to live without having to sift through hundreds of listing for the same **** at a place where they extort and manipulate and lie, then have the audacity to yell and swear at a person and lying about the facts of the case. Please, just remove their listings, I beg of you!!

I lived at Carlswald Luxury Apartments from March 2020 to January 2022. The worst experience of my life. Apart from the crime in the complex and 11 break ins in a space of 2 months, they have taken ALL my deposit AND charged me a further R3k! They listed ridiculous things like an old toilet seat and that I took curtain rails! All lies! I would never encourage anyone to live there lest they want stress! They are negligent in managing the estate and their communication and problem solving is wanting! I left the apartment spotless and even painted but they charged me for painting! I am not taking this lying down and I want my deposit back! They are scammers to say the least and abuse tenants!

Tenant at one of their residential properties namely, Sagewood Lifestyle Apartments. I reported a leak in my balcony and bathroom about two weeks ago and still nothing has been done apart from the a few patch works which haven't been finalized. I do email follow ups and call their office but still nothing no action is taken. The issue has been handled very poorly and frankly I am disappointed in their after sales services.
